That's all Im asking. Im a fan of Tony. Just not of his inconsistency and immaturity(on the field).

Romo was pretty consistent, not perfect he had bad games as did other top QB's. As for immaturity sorry if I don't see that in him. I don't think Romo play cost us in the playoffs I think the team played poorly and had too many penalties.

I agree, BUT....we had that problem all season. The one consistent was in the first 12 games, outside of Buffalo and to an extent NE, Romo was always consistent. But just like last year, after a good stretch, his play DRASTICALLY dropped in December. Once is a fluke, but two years in a row is a cause for concern.

He completed 36% and 43% in those games. Miles Austin made me sick against Washington, but as a QB you have to lead your team and IMO, Tony's not doing a great job of leading by example with his reckless play.

His reckless play? many of those so called reckless plays lead to TD's for the Cowboys. You are right his job is to lead your team but he can't catch balls for WR and he can't run their routs, he does not block. These other players are also given big checks and they need to go and earn them as well. So don't put this all on Romo.

In response to the above statements. If people aren't thinking about the team and what they will accomplish next year then I really question their fanhood.

Anyone who knows my post after the playoff loss knows I was saying the exact same thing you were saying, but this post doesnt say the entire team, it says Romo and IMO, we shouldnt be worrying about Pro Bowls.

And yes, holding on to the ball too long to get sacked is wreckless. Forcing balls into multiple coverage is wreckless.

As did protection. He was sacked 4 times vs the Eagles. Washington the entire team looked off and only played a portion of the game. The playoff game vs NY, Romo was constantly being harassed by the rush and yet had us in a position to win but again he can’t do it all others have to step up as well

It's not in your best interest to question anyone's fanhood or how they follow the team.

I think your question doesn't show you as a dedicated fan. It shows you as out of touch. That's my opinion. Doesn't mean you aren't a fan.

I'm not worried about him going to the Pro Bowl the guy is a damn good QB and as I said he should get better with more experiance.

True, but...

He didn't started getting sacked heavily against Philly til the 4th quarter when Gurode went down. He went 2 for 12 in his first passes in the game and didn't get any better as it went on. Maybe it's just me, but I don't like when at the beginning of the game, Aikman is saying Romo said earlier in the week somewhere along the lines that the Philly D presents no problem for him and is easy to figure out. Not to mention after the Detroit game, B. Johnson said he was trying to convince Romo that winning those types of games aren't easy but he wasn't hearing it. Plenty of people have said it and I agree with them, that Romo doesn't seem to understand how hard it is to win in the NFL.

In the last 3 games of the season, he threw 5 interceptions and only 1 touchdown. That type of drop off doesnt happen by accident.

I've been there for the 1-15 season...the 5-11 seasons...the playoff games we always seem to lose and so forth...as have we all...I think its harmless to ask a simple question about a player. Makes for good talk. I would rather talk about good things instead of chatting about losing in the playoffs and the cowboys playing terrible in December...of which I think is all going to change next year...at least thats what I'm hoping for.

I think what he meant to say is. Don't question someone's fanhood over a stupid thread like this :D

Certainly Romo has proven he's a Pro Bowl caliber QB. He has the contract that says so.

I don't think that means he'll be there every year necessarily but that will be based upon as many factors that are out of his control (how well other QB's play, the talent around Tony, inuuries etc) as in his control.

I don't consider the Pro Bowl to be that great a benchmark of achievement, not just because of the bias in the process ,but probably moreso because they call guys Pro Bowlers who get to go because someone else didn't want to.

We have 13 Pro Bowlers, the Giants had 1, and the won the SB? What does that tell you? (besides infuriate you once again that we lost to them)

*assuming your post was directed towards me*

So Im not a fan because Im willing to be critical of the obvious issues facing this team? I talk about the good as well, but dont shy away from the bad either.
