Will Romo win us out of a top 10 draft?

Probably. Which would only make a bad situation worse. Every win the rest of the season is counter productive. The team has to try to win them all of course but as a fan you have to look big picture and hope they lose out. This season isn't salvageable no matter how much rah rah gotta believe nonsense you see posted here.

We'll finish around 6-10 which will give us about 8th pick and we can move up from there.

Cowboys have done pretty well nailing their first round picks lately I don't see this as a problem.

Two things they need are a running back and back up Qb next year, don't think you go first round with either.

We can't be wasting our 1st rounder on an heir apparent to Romo. We have to use that pick for a real critical position like CB.

I hate to be pessimistic but I just can't get that excited for the draft next April.
Even if we have a top 10 pick I don't see us drafting anyone who would really make much of a difference.

Haven't you noticed that the same bad teams seem to always be drafting in the first part of the draft and they stay the same bad teams. Plus what position do people think we would really go in the first round? RB? Doubt it. CB? Like Mo Claiborne? Safety? Rarely one worth top 10 pick. QB? Doubt they will do that either with top 10 pick. I would like to see a quality WR next to Dez. T Will just can't catch and every behind him is practice squad bodies.

We seem to have problems other then QB and RB. We still can not get a pass rush (where is Gregory) and the defense falls apart when S Lee is not out there. He is one concussion from retirement.

No sure thing that Romo is the cure all.

I believe with two more 1st's spent on the secondary it will finally be league average, but I've always been an optimist.

I would be absolutely happy with #8. Problem is how things have gone for fans this year is Dallas goes on min-run with Romo. Just miss the playoffs and end up #18th pick.

Dallas plays Carolina, Green Bay, the Jets and the Bills. Those teams are all .500 or better. Throw in an annual loss to the Commanders (just because) and 6-10 is probably the very best they could do at this point. Seems like a top ten to me.

Yeah, the season is toast at this point.

After sitting out 2 months, Romo probably isn't going to be to sharp his first couple games back.

Romo isn't taking this "dog" and going 7-0.

Quite frankly I think 4 out of 7 may be a stretch.

So, what are you saying? You think these sad losers are not going to respond to the conquering hero's return?

I agree. Hopefully Jaylon Smith is still there when we pick.

Will Romo give them a lift? Yeah.

But he's not going to be sharp.

And with guys already being questioned about this season being a tosser, I wouldn't be surprised to have some of them start to "check-out" if they haven't already.

I'll bet money on that being wrong.

if we can manage to just find 1 win against TB, then tony comes in and does his magic...10-6 gets us in the playoffs.
