First 4 games of the season:

Filthy
Gnats
Da Bears
Cheese Heads.

The Cowboys have a brand new coaching staff position wise pretty much from top to bottom. New defensive schemes, new offensive schemes and new special teams. Sure Shotty was the OC last year but that was in name only. MM ran the Texas Toast offense which only gave lip service to the running game. Shotty has come out the gate saying that’s going to change.

So I think the Cowboys will have at least a little bit of an advantage early on. They’ll need it for sure.

Let’s hope!

...I think so. If Dallas was able to scrap 7 wins in brutal 24'. The team got better, at almost every position.

Dak is healthy again. I REALLY feel Shotty, is gonna surprise the league.

We are spank brand new from the coaching staff the scheme offense and defense to many of the players.

The league has no tape on this new Cowboys regime and that's a good thing.

That said Shotty more than has his work cut out for him he's got to get this whole thing to gel together and run like a Swiss watch before the season starts.

Not an easy task. But not impossible either and I believe he's taking the right path his father knew how to run the ball and I think he does too.

And it's just that simple success running the ball makes things easier on the whole team coaching staff keeps the defense off the field.

In short if you can run the ball very well you can be competitive and give us some good football to watch that's all I ask for at this point

Probably not...at least for the reasons presented. The advantage the Cowboys will have is in the fact that they have actually upgraded the roster for 2025.

Schematically we should still be a fairly similar team, and if we do see drastic changes its realistic that it could take a few weeks for these guys to gel and get comfortable. That was the excuse so many used early last year when 'the OL just needed time to gel with two rookies' and 'its a brand new defensive scheme, they need time and reps to adjust'.

Not saying these guys can't be a very good staff, but we also have a rookie HC, rookie OC, rookie WR coach, and rookie OL coach on offense. Its very realistic that we could see some growing pains offensively early in the season, especially in a league where offenses have started out very slow the last few years.

The veterans on this team couldn't execute the old scheme with any consistency but we are to believe that somehow swapping out coaching staff is going to magically make these guys better.

New defensive system, new coaches, new players and limited practices by the nflpa. Has all the ingredients for a slow start and maybe by mid season things start to gell.

Second half of the season looks tough.

No Dallas won't have an advantage. Dallas needs to win early or it'll be a really long season

Minus parcels short stint
Jimmy Johnson was able to 100% establish his coaching culture under Jerry Jones. Bill Parcells tried but was not successful in re-creating his Giants' version in Dallas, although he came close.

Jones' influence was too corrosive towards seeing that possibility come true. Sometimes, even a Super Bowl-caliber head coach cannot enjoy an advantage doing what he does best.

It will be interesting to see how many games Shotty costs them.
The sheer negativity around him is astounding - why don't you guys give him a chance? He's assembling a decent looking team and a great group of coordinators. Tell me to this point what is not to like?

Tell me to this point what is not to like?
1. Nothing materially has changed with the culture
2. I don't have a problem with Shotty, I have a problem with him being another yes-man coach like Garrett and McCarthy.
3. We've had "decent looking teams" that haven't achieved anything and as I stated earlier, nothing has materially changed about the culture of the franchise or how we evaluate talent.
