Will the Cowboys Root for the Eagles to Win against the Giants?

Regardless of the outcome of the Falcons versus the Cowboys game, the impact from Eagles versus Giants game will be felt across the NFC-East.

Do Cowboy fans want the Eagles to win (or if you'd prefer ...the Giants to lose!)? If so, what's your rationale for wanting the Giants to lose; the Giants to win. Do you think it matters; why not.

If the Eagles win (hopefully) our record will improve to 8-6; giving us a great shot for either a wildcard ...or, a playoff birth and the NFC-East Champs (should we beat you again this year). Without our probowl QB we are underdogs going Into every game (except for perhaps our final game with the Falcons ...and depending on the outcome of our previous 2 games).

Now for some of you fans who don't read threads thoroughly, I'll say this ...

I'm not saying the Eagles will win against the Giants (althought I hope they do), and I'm not saying the Eagles will win against the Cowboys (although I hope they do) ...all I'm asking is for your interpretation of outcomes over the next 3 games (including our last game against the Falcons).

What's your read ...

If we beat Atlanta on Saturday, the Ny-Philly game won't matter as much, but if we lose to Atlanta, we need Philly to win, because in that case we still control our own destiny, as we play Philly in Dallas the next week...........if we lose and NY wins, we then have to win our final 2 and hope NY loses one as we split with NY, but NY has a better division record...........so all in all, it helps our situation if Philly wins, especially if we lose to Atlanta.

Your Eagles will have to play their best game to beat the Giants. I probably will passively pull for the Eagles, but I think the Giants will win.

Much as it pains me to say it, I will be rooting for Philadelphia. I think that they are a much less dangerous team, but also somewhat selfishly, it would set things up for a big game on Christmas day. Living in the Philly burbs, there is nothing like Philly-Dallas week, especially a December game with playoff implications.

I never root for the Eagles, regardless of what is on the line. I might be happy in the end if they win and it benefits us in regards to the playoffs but I won't root for them during the game. I just can't do it.

I'm cheering for the Cowboys. If Dallas takes care of their own business it does not matter what the outcome of the Philly/Giants game is.

true, we still control our own destiny, but if we lose to Atlanta on Saturday, we need Philly to beat NY, then we need to beat Philly the next week.....it is all about what is the best sceanrio for us if we lose to Atlanta....if we beat Atlanta, I don't care who wins.

You know P.T. I kinda miss you guys in the mix. History shows that the eagles & Commanders have 'traditionally' year-end spoilers. Go eagles.

I'm not even thinking that far ahead right now. For me it is important for the Cowboys to get it back together and start winning games no matter the outcome of any other games, after a beating like we just took I think it is critical for the confidence of this team to go out and win games.

This game has HUGE implications for us. Whoever ends up winning this game will most likely play Dallas in the wildcard game "IF" Dallas can beat Atlanta and win the NFC East. So all of those who say it doesn't matter...think again.

Yep, I have no problem hoping that Philly wins. I would not call it rooting for the Eagles though.

If we win sunday It shoudnt matter, we will just need to take care of business at home.

IF we lose then yep, we will need philly to win so we can control our own destiny.

Congrats on the win in washington.
