We'll run it at about the same rate, regardless who we've got at RB.

And our YPC will be about what it was the last two seasons, too.

The team is built for the ground game and it would be foolish to put the whole offense back on Romo's shoulders. The ground game broke them out of the repeated 8-8 seasons , so I see no reason to change. They are finally playing my kind of smash-mouth football and it produces wins.

In the four years with Garrett, Dallas has been 24th(408), 31st(355), 31st(336), and 3rd(508) in rushing attempts. I believe the light has gone on, and Dallas will stick to the run even when thing aren't going well.

Everything the Cowboys were last season was all due to the running game so I'm sure the plan going into 2015 is to stay with it if it's working. If it doesn't work Romo will have to do more, the defense may be on the field more and the Cowboys could be back to 8-8.

People have it backwards.

The three 1st round draft picks for lineman were our commitment to the run.
2nd year for Smith at LT
2nd year for Fred at C
1st round beast rookie Martin at OG
Time to crush some heads!
THATs why we ran the ball.

Give me break if you think we could have run the ball down teams throats in 2012.
That's not to say that the coaching wasn't more committed as well. But when the RB goes 4 yards before getting contact and the defense is afraid to stack the box due to an efficient passing game, running it seems like a no brainier.

Stick to it if it works.. last year people forget that later in the season our running game was average..Romo and the passing game opened it up so we can continue to run effectively.

Go with the hot hand that's my only gripe...so many times I wanted to see Randle out there, instead we beat Murray into a wall. No wonder he was gassed come playoffs.

That's a very valid point.

I don't think the Cowboys will deviate a lot from last year's formula.

But I can see a few more passes/few less runs to take advantage of the 9 guys in a box thing that we saw so often on 1st down.

Also I don't think we're going to see one back hoof it for 24.5 attempts per game like Murray did. All you do is wear out your running back doing that.

I think you'll see one guy average more like 18 carries per game, with the backups being more involved.
