Will the real Dallas Cowboys please stand up

You went from "Dak is going to lead the Cowboys to a Super Bowl win in 2021. Bet on it." to " This team is poised for a Super Bow run".

I see the confidence is dwindling slowly.

They've been watching him in practice.

"Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he expects Amari Cooper (ankle) to begin practicing after the team's August 13 preseason game.
Cooper's practice timeline could shift in the coming days and weeks, but it appears the Cowboys will be cautious in bringing back their stud receiver as he recovers from an ankle cleanup procedure he had in June."

I wonder if Jerry has any expectations for his over paid QB

Other than hope, why is this team poised for a Super Bowl run?

The Cowboys are 34-33 the last 4 seasons, which is consistent with what they've been the last 20+ years. Perhaps those are the "real" Dallas Cowboys?
Just gonna throw this out there.

What has happened in the past is poor predictor of the future.

The TB Bucs have a lifetime record of 278(W) - 429(L) with one tie since 1976 their 1st year. The last 5 years they are 40(W) and 53(L). They won the SB last year. This is essentially a pretty messed up organization like our Cowboys. Correlation to the past can be a sucky measuring stick for predicting.

Having said that I'm not saying this Cowboy team is on the precipice of a SB run. But their last 5 year record is a poor predictor of the outcome of this season. 2014 and 2016 were magic in a bottle and without AR being our nemesis we'd have advanced. Coulda/woulda!

Realistically I have zero expectations. I want to see them advance to and win a SB before I die. They could this year. I think they potentially have the talent to do just that. Not sure they have the coaching to do that and in fact I'm inclined to think they don't. I hope I'm wrong.

Can't wait.

......we look good on paper. Dak is back, with OL and Zeke. No excuses for offense. Stay healthy best luck.

......Defense is another story. Variables galore. Rookies? LVE? Jaylon? Quinn? ...etc.

And TB missed the playoffs for 12 straight seasons, then won it.

They changed GMs three times in those 12 years. That's what normal teams do when the GM fails.

They also added the GOAT to play QB last year, hardly a coincidence.

They didn't just keep the status quo and hope for different results.

I would say they are poised to be an improved team
Super Bowl talk is a bit of a reach at this point

That wasn't the point.
And Brady would not have won if not for the defense. Give him our defense, and what do you think would have happened.
