Will there be a change in free agency?

Will they change how they approach free agency?

I agree 100%....... it kinda puts Stephen on the spot (lol)
I'm serious the way Dak has a no trade clause in his contract, they need to work out something like a promise that they'll be active and aggressive, if not he's able to ask for more money or something!!!

The real question is more along these lines..

Will they go for bigger names than they have normally pursued, and rely on the draft (and thus, go to camp with rookies and minimum contract free agents) to fill in the voids?

Or.

Will they try to address the voids with approximately the same value across the board... meaning, no bigger names, but also, more likely Replacement-Value-tier talent covering more voids?
This is the reason Parsons offered to take a discount or sign a team-friendly deal. He said he wanted to see them bring in some players. I'm he's thinking of more quality players. He can't say too much w/o throwing his teammates under the bus.

I expect a similar offseason to what we had after 2020 when DQ took over. They'll make a few smaller free agent acquisitions to get guys the new coordinators are familiar with, but its going to be Terrell Basham and Keanu Neal types.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS great mention of this, wow!!!!!!!!!! Then after that it's back to the guys we never heard of and UFL guys

No offense, but none of those options really seem to me to capture the situation 100%.

And that's mainly because... they have so many damn free agents themselves, they have to be active, and the likelihood is that many of our own are going to land somewhere else anyhow... so, by definition, they will be active because they practically have no choice... by definition, they will sign new bodies because the narrative is just almost automatically going to require it b/c of all we'll lose...

I was posing the question as if the person responding had a functioning brain.

Nobody considers signing your own as active in free agency. It goes without saying.

I think we will see a little........Stephen mentions taking a look at the Eagles model. Never heard that before.......
Also.......keep in mind Parsons is already on record willing to structure and/or take less so they can sign some players. That statement alone puts the ball in Stephen Jones's lap.
Mr Air quote is just that “hot air” who thinks he’s in the same league as teams like KC and Philly in terms of building a winning organization

They’ll sign one or two mid tier free agents and try to sell it as major change and major roster improvement.

That’s at best. Though part of me also thinks it’ll just be more dumpster diving.

I honestly think they'll TRY to please us, they know that the fans are mad and upset about how they're not spending. They'll make an impulsive move and will sign someone that we shouldn't just to say that they made a big move! That move will be Tee Higgins!

I'd be happy to get Higgins along side CD.

No. They may trade for a couple guys like Mingo, but they will not change the free agency approach

You know the statement from Stephen.

We're going to take a long hard look at how we've looked at free agency and if we need to make some changes there we will.

So then what will be the result of this long hard look?
Probably similar to when 2020 when we hired McCarthy. We were a bit more active that offseason, but the players we added would up being busts

You're happy paying 2 wr's 20+ million??? Don't think so but hey it could happen

As always it does depend on his contract, but we absolutely need another wr and he's a young stud.

That point alone makes it seem very unlikely. There's a much greater chance we sign OBJ and Jerry makes believe it's 2014.

looooooooooooooool wine and dine him and HOPE that he can destroy another CB, the one CB (Carr) he destroyed which is why we're so cheap!

I think they don’t have a choice to bring in a few. Hopefully it’s not all bottom feeders we’ve never heard of….
