Will this be Dak's best season?

The question now is, will he even make it to even get to be able to choke "again" in the post season? There's that problem now (bad legs) PLUS the perennial Deer In Headlight choke job. The ever manifesting hopeium that comes with a new Dallas Cowboys season never fails though.
I think with the improved O-line and an actual RB instead of a retread with the addition of another solid WR, we have a good shot of making the playoffs if Dak can perform like he did from 2016-2023. 2024 he played terribly, but he's got more help this year so it might mitigate his declined play. As far as making it far into the playoffs? No...heck no. All a team has to do is take away the run and force Dak to beat them and he just can't.

Dak has proven he can get the team to the playoffs when healthy. Just not sure on the healthy part anymore.

Say what you want about the Cowboys chances if getting back to the playoffs or getting over the playoff hump.

Say what you want about having a new coaching staff or potential weaknesses at DT, OT or CB.

If I'm Dak Prescott, I'm looking at this season as a chance be my best. I've got 2 of the best WRs in the game. I've got weapons like Turpin and Blue with speed to burn. I've got a coach Schotty that isn't going to let me abandon the running game. I've got the best interior OL protection I've had since my rookie season. All I have to do is get that ball out of my hands quick and stay healthy.

Can he do that? If he can and the team can stay healthy, he has every chance to have his best season,

What say you?
Depends on a couple of things. The running game has to prove to be a threat, and the offensive tackles have to hold up in pass protection. Without a running threat, defenses will sit on routes and make the throwing windows much tighter. Without the edges being protected, Prescott will be forced to throw under pressure or earlier than he wants to.

The potential is there for sure. But will need the defense to step up as well.
Jerry doesn't believe in defense unfortunately, which is ironic since the best way to help Dak would be to fix the defense. If the team only needs 21pts to win the game we'll be winning a lot of games... Even with just our kicker!

Was he not looking to be his best in the past?
If Fitzpatrick were a Cowboy in 2015, he could have equaled or bettered Dak. Most NFL quarterbacks could have, given that team.

Dak can help to fix the defense by starting the game strong and scoring points early.
Waiting until thu 4th qtr prevent defense to pour it on...well...defense is already cooked by then.

This statement pisses me off so much. What QB is out there winning 'by themselves'?
No QB out there is winning by themselves and no QB out there is winning it with a team that has pro-bowlers from top to bottom at every position. Dak Prescott isn't some poor lamb who has been put on a team that has 0 talent and his peers around him have won with just as much or less.

Yes, just ask him. SB, baby, with honey poured on him.
It's the salt in his eyes.

His time is coming to be exactly what he was...not good enough to make the grade at his age. He is going to be our good back up.

Obviously a QB doesn't win alone, but there are different degrees of "help".

Dak Prescott and the Cowboys are not going to win a Super Bowl with a 20th ranked running offense.....but that's exactly what Mahomes and the Chief's did in 2023.
