Will this be Dak's best season?

You're missing some subtlety here. The difference between Dak and those elite QBs is that they did possess the ability to rise to the occasion to make the game winning plays when their team wasn't playing all that great. You put Dak on the Kansas City Chiefs these past few seasons. Do you think he is going to have Mahomes success? I would argue no he wouldn't. It doesn't mean that Dak can't have some post-season success if he has the help he needs. That's all I'm saying.
He is more injury prone now as he ages. He has lost what made him an effective NFL Qb which was being able to run and gut out the tough yards. These later round draft picks can have success but when playoffs hit, those limitations on the scouting report get amplified against quality competition.

These are his strengths / weaknesses back in 2016.

Strengths:
  • Flashes pocket passsing
  • Flashes accuracy
  • Flashes field vision
  • Flashes anticipation
  • Throws a very catchable ball
  • Capable arm
  • Can make all the throws
  • Good mobility
  • Can pick up yards on the ground
  • Has some pocket presence
  • Great teammate
  • Experienced against good competition
  • Gritty player
  • Strong leadership skills

Weaknesses:
  • Inconsistent accuracy
  • Inconsistent field vision
  • Needs to get faster with his eyes
  • Needs to learn working under center
  • Needs development for a pro-style offense
  • College-offense inflated stats
  • College offense ran lot of plays he won’t run in the NFL
9 years later some of those glaring weaknesses are still rearing its ugly head. The problem is he has lost some of those strengths and never fixed the weaknesses. This is why its so difficult to be optimistic with him.

He will be the same guy until he gets hurt again. I don't believe he'll make it through a full season. He's got bad wheels and isn't getting younger.

I hope he plays more under center to use more P/A..

This standing in shotgun and pretending to hand the ball off ain't fooling anyone.

I'm not complaining but what's with all the cat gifs?

Yep. This is my problem. Almost a decade and people still think he can improve. How many years before some people give up? TWO decades??

I'm sure Troy would disagree. Concussions ended his career.
I know concussions ended his career, but if he got hit as much as Romo or Dak, Wow!!! When he had the protection, he was the best!! But when it broke down, he went to the sidelines and started barking at the players. He never wanted to be chased. I remember it like yesterday. All my buddies praised Aikman and I was like HMM. He is not the team, he a chess piece in the team. And when the team broke, Aikman was no longer revalent. But ya'll keep putting the blame on Dak.
