the 2nd round pick he just spent on Fasano? Nothing against Fasano...but as many of you know...I start a thread about this pick once a week. Just a head scratcher

And why did we use a 2nd round pick on an undersized C...then complain about him being undersized all the time?

I think you are right, we will never be able to forgive him.

Personally I would not be shocked if he burned in hell for the decision.

Yeah. The Pats look horrible in that multiple TE set

You wanna gripe about a 2nd round pick, it starts and ends with JJ. Trading away a franchise RB is Steven Jackson may haunt this franchise for years. The man had 2300 combined yards this year. A Faulk type back that will rush for 1400 and catch 800. HUGE mistake.

Compared to the drafts we had with Chan Gailey and Dave Campo... I'll forgive him for the occassional questionable pick when he's reloaded this team with some very talented young players!

I wont forgive him for not ever being able to build of offensive line when thats "supposed" to be his specialty. They were our biggest weakness and doomed us during his stay in Dallas

I will never forgive him for getting a decent, albiet inexperienced, backup for our only other TE on the roster.

The nerve!!

do you actually think Jerry Jones made that decision? Do you not remember Parcells taking a bit of the cheese when Jones burst onto the scene against Seattle in his rookie year?

That's better than the 2nd rders spent on J. Rogers, QCAR and Tony Dixon.

I am glad some of you guys can find something funny around this time. And to be honest with you all.....his drafting was overrated. DeMarcus Ware is a Pro Bowler. Jason Witten is a Pro Bowler. Newman is an alternate. That is 3 players in 4 years.

Jacob Rogers
Al Johnson
Stephen Petterman
Marcus Spears

These were all 1st day picks....probably don't remeber that since they have played like street free agents

What the hell you talking about? The thread said "forgive Bill" I said nothing about Jerry. My post consisted of Parcells, Julius Jones and Stephen Jackson. Or did you forget Julius was a 2nd round pick?

I just find it funny that you seem to have, by your own admissions, some sort of obsession with that pick...and the idea that we will not be able to forgive one pick ...sorry but it is silly.

He is gone...he is GONE.

Get over it, dance a jig, be happy, have a drink on me, jump for joy anything other than beating the same old dead horse.

my bad..did not read it closely.....and I happen to think you are absolutley right....and the irony is that Parcells likes big workhorse backs.....if you recall what Parcells said at the time, when he was eating the cheese for the 2 or 3 good games JuJo had....he said "he did not see much difference between Jackson, Julius, Kevin Jones and I beleive Chris Perry"...which is why he went for Julius and the extra picks

Fasano may end up being a great pick.

Remember he was drafted because we were going to employ that Max protect 2 TE offense because of Bledsoes immobility. That's what he worked on all during camp. When Bledsoe hit the bench we changed the iffensive game plan a bit and he had to adjust. All in all I think he did fine and I didn't see him as a liability at all.

I thought the pick was unusual at the time, but with a young QB like Romo getting some playing time, it looked like a better pick.

I also thought that with Fasano being drafted it potentially meant that Witten would not be resigned.

They also tried to trade back UP to get Kevin Jones.

Trust me when I say Stephen Jackson was not going to be the pick, even if we did not trade down...Kevin Jones was going to be the pick.

Are you saying that "Steven Jackson was not going to be the pick"...was a good thing. If so, do you know why they were not sold on him?
