Will we ever forgive Parcells for...

For someone with as many posts as you...it is somewhat shocking that you did nor read Larry Lacewells quotes to the local media when it came to Tony Romo. I am sure you know Romo attended the same college as Sean Payton...and Payton was pushing him ad nauseam.

Payton wasn't the only one. Even though Romo went undrafted, he had multiple teams trying to sign him and throwing more than just the rookie minimum money at him.

I know...I am just making sure Parcells is not given credit where he does NOT deserve it

Yeah, Romo was a real nobody that no one had ever heard of except Sean Payton because he has school ties... except that he was invited to the Combine and worked out for every NFL team. And the Cowboys had to outbid several teams for him.

And even after signing with the Cowboys, he could have been cut at any time like 95% of the other undrafted quarterbacks in the league are in the their first training camp, much less given 3 years to develop. I don't know if you were around the first two years of his career, but Romo didn't come into the NFL setting the world on fire. He was developed as a raw project.

Of course, I know, Bill didn't isn't responsible for any of that.

By the way .. Romo credits David Lee for his success. Not Payton.

Also, can't have it both ways....we can't post's that drafts are a "crapshoot" when Parcells did the shopping...then scream about all the drafts that Jerry Jones presided over that sucked

Not just that, why won't anyone mention WARE...and I still think that Spears will be better this year.

JuJo was going to be the RB of the future at the end of his rookie year, every fan was so excited about next year. Our OL just got worse and we started blaming JJ.

In my opinion, BP did a fantastic job, Dallas is going to have great years ahead of itself because of the foundation he laid for them.

there are 2 camps in Dallas...and clearly you know what side I am on...I don't dislike Parcells...but we have not won a playoff game in 10 years...sorry if I am not in a compassionate mood...especially when we are 1 of 2 NFC teams to NOT win a playoff game in the last 10 years.

Parcells has convinced TOO many of you that this is Rocket Science. The NFL is setup for the right coach with the right gameplan to set up shop and make a run in a short amount of time. We are *** around year after year with all of these "2 sides to that pancake".."moustraps hanging from the ceiling"...."put away the annointing oil" "don't eat the cheese"......Hey I got one for you...."You are what your record says you are" You want another year "Coach Landry taught me that you ought to know what you got after 3 years"

Actually.. there's a different 2 camps concerning the Cowboys nowadays.

Those that want to gripe about Parcells after he's gone... and those that are looking to the future and understand that nothing that Parcells did while he was here can be changed now!

OK...I by that...I am looking towards the future with tremendous optimism...I am not afraid of life without Parcells...I know the Dave Campo era spooked a lot of the Cowboy faithful...but the New Orleans Saints just played for a chance to go to the Super Bowl ladies and gentleman...the Chicago Bears....20 years later....are in the SUper Bowl with Rex Grossman under center....we can compete for our 9th Super Bowl appearance if we let go of the fact that Parcells did not invent the game of football

I'm in the first camp but I said before if he didn't win a playoff game he couldgo back to Sarasota find a manzere or bro and hang out on his horse farm for all I care.
