Will we have an easier time running against the Commanders then we did the Giants?

The Giants defense looks built to stop the run and sundays game was very tough sledding. Will we fair better VS the Commanders defense?

That depends on your confidence in this coaching staff. That D game plan will be repeated in every game we play; stack the box and make the 4th round rookie beat them. The NFL is a "me too" league and until we prove we can solve that puzzle, we'll get the same one every week. 45 pass attempts played right into their hands.

We can run on a stacked box IMO. But its hard to run up the middle against 700 pounds of beef and a stacked box.

Until All22 becomes available, it's hard to tell. From what I saw on TV, Zeke needs to be more patient with the blocking. I think that was the difference between him and Morris. I saw Morris being patient with the blocking before making his move where Zeke was just running toward the LOS once he got the ball.

I think Zeke will be fine but will need time with the OL to get in sync with them. I would use Morris more and ease Zeke in so that he has time to jell with the OL while we still maintain a good run game.

I suspect the Skins will do the same thing. Try to take away the run game and then watch and see if Garrett will dazzle them with his mind blowing game plan.

This was my impression as well.

The frustrating thing is after keeping the Giants defense on the field for most of the first half, there were large chunks to be had in the second with patient running. Morris really exploited this. Elliott did not outside the drive after the INT

I think we are capable of running with a stacked box. We did it well last year once McFadden took over.

No. They have two shutdown corners and will stack the box just like the Giants did. Dez won't get separation against either of their CBs unless they fall down.

yes.it will also be much tougher to throw against the skins because they have a better overall secondary .

He's getting to the hole very quickly, he needs to learn patience and use his natural ability to improvise. Our TE blocking was terrible, Witten missed a couple key blocks and so did Swaim, T Fred got beat on one inside run. With that said there is alot of beef upfront for NY, spread em out to run the middle and when they stack the middle, you have to run them side to side, sweep that team to death.

Again, im not worried about stacking the box. How many 100 yard games did McFadden have last year with 9 in the box. Theee ability to shut us down is more reliant on how there front 7 matches up then an extra player in the box

The Commanders corners are actually better than the giants. Their front 7 is not as good but it's still decent. They had trouble stopping the run last year. We'll see if it improved tonight.

If they can handle our outside guys one on one with breeland and norman then no. If williams or dez make a play and back them off then yes there should be lanes.

i don't think the skins have athletes that can keep us from getting the edge like the giants do. Again, I think they have the best line we play all year. Maybe minnesota will be better but that giants line is going to win them a lot of games.

Move dez around. Offense success should be easier. They didn't improve there run defense in the offseason like the giants did.
