Will we have an easier time running against the Commanders then we did the Giants?

Every team is going to load the box until our QB can give them a reason not to.

I thought with this offensive line and Ezekiel Elliott it wouldn't matter but apparently it does.

The Giants defense looks built to stop the run and sundays game was very tough sledding. Will we fair better VS the Commanders defense?
Other teams will use the same formula til it doesnt work.

I will need to go back and watch the game again, but it seemed that Zeke did most of his running out of a shotgun formation. This was not the case for Morris. I wouldn't be surprised to find the OL run blocking being much better when Dak was under center.

I think without playing a defensive line like the Giants we will have more success. You started to see it in the second half with more and even Elliott on the TD drive.

We ran pretty well the second half of last season with McFadden against stacked box. That safety helps defenses but its not an end all be all either

I suspect the Skins will do the same thing. Try to take away the run game and then watch and see if Garrett will dazzle them with his mind blowing game plan.
His game plan blows my mind every game.

We will be 0-2. I doubt we go into Washington and pull it out. Not playing conservative. And their offense is better than the Giants offense.

We will probably win in Washington and look good then come home and lose to the Bears and look terrible. This is what Garrett does.

Keep Dak mobile and give the guys time to get open deep and within a matter of a couple quarters our running game will mysteriously be wide open

I'm hoping Linehan can grasp that concept

I think many of you are discounting how good that Dline for the Giants performed against our Oline. Hankins JPP, Vernon(he plays TSmith well), and Harrison will be as good as they might see this year and we were two bone head wr plays(Twill, Dunbar) away from winning that game IMO. I do firmly believe next game Dak will have a better feel for the red zone opportunities which despite the game plan on 9-11 did little to use Daks escapability and running prowess. I am in complete agreement with a stacked box we need to take advantage of the coverages and that talent was sorely missing for the Cowboys on Sunday.

This offense will prove out and is designed to handle the best of defenses. That premise has to work, or the final record won't be as sweet as it should. Washington is doable, and their running game should be hindered by the Dallas defense as well.

Giants D is worst than the Commanders... and our coaching staff is probably the worst

No. Horrible coaches and game plans will doom us as it did against the Giants. We may squeak out 4 wins this year. Why did they continue to run up the middle? Because the coaches are mental patients.

Move dez around. Offense success should be easier. They didn't improve there run defense in the offseason like the giants did.
Keep dreaming. The Cassel offense is here to stay. Doubt we even average 18 points a game this year.

No, because Dak needs to be able to successfully STRETCH the field. Commanders have a solid D plus the best secondary in the NFCE

We may have better run stats...but Sunday is going to be a long day. I see us losing by 13 or more.

The Cowboys need to start the game throwing the ball, stretching the field and loosen up the defense. And I'm not talking about 4 yard outs to Witten. But actually throwing the ball down the field.

If they can force the Commanders safeties back, that will make it much easier to run the ball in the second half of the game.

Failing that, it will be more of what we saw against the Giants. Sometimes it looked like the Giants had 14 guys out there.

their Secondary is legit,i would not want to be Dak in this situation.Even Romo rarely plays well against them.
