Because when I see the uniform and the star, I still see Morton, Staubach, Lilly, Newhouse, Dennison, DuPree, Pearson, Thomas, Dorsett, Richards, White, Harris, Waters, Hughes, Martin, Jones, Wright, Neely, Aikman, Irving, Smith, Norton, Sanders, Harper, Washington, Walker, Novacek....
Basically, I see all the past great Cowboys. I try to ignore all the turkeys that are wearing the uniform today .

I really really want to walk away because I’m sick of it.

I’ve loved the Dallas Cowboys since 1966. They were ”next year’s champion” for a decade, the team that can’t win the big game, a finesse team. Why would I change now? Why would anyone? If winning a championship, which fans can’t do anyway, is all one cares about, then they should change teams every few years. If the Cowboys never even made the playoffs again, they’d still be the only team I care about.

After reading all the comments I can see why people say we have the worst fan base in the sports.

I will never change teams. I'm no fair-weather, bandwagon fan. WTH? Stupid.

But! Changes are needed. MAJOR changes!
And Jerrah loves your commitment to the cause

I watch the games and hope they win. I live in Dallas. I can’t root for another team.

I no longer get upset when they lose though.

I already quit buying merch and going to games years ago. I watch for free, or nearly free. I'm not paying for this crap, but I can't help but root for them. However, now that the Cowboys are out of it, here's the team I hope wins it all:

Don' Giveacwrap.

i like rooting for the chiefs also since i live in missouri but it is tough to watch them win all the time and wonder why the cowboys can not do the same. every year it gets more and more difficult to watch this team.

That's like asking if I will continue to be a fan of my granddaughter and her volleyball team even though they lost big in the tournament semi finals a few weeks ago.

Will be a Cowboy fan forever, but in the last few years I've scaled back the time I invest in the team and will continue to do so. Haven't bought any Cowboys gear in more than 20 years.

Fan of 40+ years.
Used to buy merch- never again
Used to go to games- never again
Watch every game- hope they win, expect them to lose
Used to refer to the team as “we”
Now it’s “them”
Sports have changed
Players don’t care about us
I’ve stopped caring about them

Football is the only sport where I can watch any game/team so long as the matchup is good so I'll keep watching. I enjoy all of the playoffs regardless of outcome

..wish I had your football DNA. If Dallas is not in post.esason. I have hard time continuing to watch.

I will always be a Cowboys fan but I care far more about my fantasy football team that I have some control over.

Just curious to hear if anyone has decided to officially change teams and why

I’m 48 so it’s to late for me, ive suffered for decades but if I was young I would cut my losses now
True fans can’t change-just have to change your level of investment in their success

Before the season started I went down to see my oldest son.. he and his mate were sitting out the back having a few beers.

His mate asked me "how will the Cowboys go this year"? I said "we are looking pretty good actually.. I like our depth, so don't bet against us this season.. we may go all the way".

They both burst out laughing and said.. "Every year you Cowboy fans say the same thing.. when will you learn?".

I remember thinking.. sheesh.. is that what we have become?.. a laughing stock.

Im still shattered.. I know I know.. I should have known better.. but I still can't believe what the whole team dished up.. it was humiliating.. even Aubrey doinked one.

My phone blew up in the 4th quarter.. I haven't even looked at it.. I know what they want to say.. and I'm still not ready to listen to any of them.

But of course.. I'm a Cowboys fan til I die.. just the way it is.

Of course. But my trust in their direction is critically damaged after yesterday. What they do this offseason will determine if I care to watch the games live, vs clips on YouTube.
