Will you cry?

I will think about the bad times. The Campo years. Revolving doors at QB. The bobble in Seattle. The unbelievable ways we've managed to give away games over the years.

Then I will run out into the street screaming like a madman and do my best attempt at a cartwheel. Facebook will be my podium! My victory speech will take 10 posts. Any Eagles, Commanders, Giants, Niners, or Steelers fans will face my wrath!

It will, without a doubt, be my greatest moment as a sports fan. Despite a vague memory of Superbowl XXX, I will consider this one my first. Oh it would be glorious...

Definitely shed some tears. I have had dreams about the Cowboys winning their 6th and in those dreams I felt some serious emotions. :cry2:

I was a pro football fan before the the Dallas Cowboys were ever formed and I did not have a favorite team then but I loved to watch the games because the football was so much better than college ball. When I moved to Dallas I became a Cowboys diehard fan for years and the Ice Bowl crushed me for a few weeks but I recovered and continued to be an emotional Cowboys fan.

When SB5 came along and they announced thye referee was Norm Schacter (?sp) I figured in advance that he would find some way to give the game to the Colts because the Boys always lost by questionable decisions every time he was the ref and sure enough, late in the game there weas a fumble recovered by Dallas but he took the ball away from Dallas and gave it to Baltimore and they went on to kick the winning field goal, I suffered great emotional trauma for months afterward.

I finally drew the inescapable conclusion that it wasn't the best team that wins but whomever the refs want to win and I determined that the only way for me to survive as a football fan was to love the game for the game itself and not care which players or team won or lost but to be independent. While the Cowboys are still my favorite team and I enjoy watching them play, it means little to me who wins or loses or why.

I simply love pro football and I realize there are times my favorite team will not win and I won't let myself become sky high or bottom out emotionally; after all, I don't play for the team.

I really loved watching the playoffs this year. I admit it, I get irritated with JJ for his bone-headed decisions and Wade, too.

I think Jerry has finally made an intelligent decision in allowing Jason Garrett to have veto power over staff and players and I think it will put the Cowboys on the right path again.

Players and teams come and go but the game remains.

Life is good.

This was fantastic.

I hope some day I am able to have even a modicum of the level-headedness you have. I am overly emotional and I will cry when we win again.

I cried when the Giants won the World Series, mostly for my dad. He's 55, so he wasn't born when they last won.

But notherbob, seriously, that was a great post.

I think I will. I was always a fan of the boys growing up but im still relatively young (22) so I wasn't as invested with the team (as I am now) during the good years.

My life as a fan has been during a lot of bad seasons and heartbreak unfortunately.

Seriously, it doenst make me cry but it makes me mad because we *****footed around and let the Stealers get to 6. We let the Giants get to three and the Pats went on a similar run to our 90's run.

I will cry when we hit #7. As far as I am concerned #6 should have been in the books already.
