Why do people use the weak argument we cant afford both, so if we didn't have Roy and signed Hamlin, we would not have a good SS, we would then be force to play someone not good... makes no sense we will resign Hamlin and keep Roy......

then People argue we need another WR opposite of TO, I heard people say Chad Johnson, Fitzgerald, the same money we have that can't afford 2 Safeties, but we can afford 2 WR who gonna demand double of what our safeties would be making, lol....

Then people on this board say we can't afoord 2 safeties making alot of making, in which safeties don't make as much as other positions, but the same people want us to trade up in the draft in draft McFadden who would cost us a 35 mil SB, but we don't have the money or to much is tied up in our secondary....

OK, so Roy had a subpar year, he's not going anywhere, we will resign Hamlin, we will resign Flo and use our 2 1 and draft 2 young players...........

It's strange that a player could be considered to have a "subpar" year, yet be the leading tackler on a pretty good defense.

only way it would be "subpar" is in the interception catagory which hes down 3 from his last year career tying high 5 with one game left and a game suspension

what short memories some people have.. there is a reason that Roy Williams has made 5 Pro Bowls in a row.. fans, players, and coaches vote him in.. they think highly of him.. has Hamlin had a better year? maybe.. but there is a reason why this is Hamlin's 1st Pro Bowl and it's Roy's 5th..

Yes, Roy made the pro bowl 5 times. A few were off reputation, the others were off horse collars.

This poll and debate was set up to find out what people thought. It would appear that the cap situation may make on of these two players expendable.

That being said, I am just love those folks who say anyone that chose Hamlin is ignorant. Guess the fact that the poll show that the vast majority feel Hamlin is more valuable has nothing to do with it. If you don't agree with their position, you must be ignorant.

Simple question here:

Would you give Roy the same money Sanders will get?

Good point. But I guess what I am trying to get at, is which is worth more to the team right now. Not five years ago, but right now.

Hmm...Roy is our leading solo tackler. Sanders is tied for 3rd on their team. And they have an equal number of INTs.

Keep hamlin and play watkins with him. I think that is a better combination then Hamlin and Roy.
