With the tough news of B-Will out for the year and Rogers banged up do we go out and find some veteran depth?

Octavian looks feisty and good but Butler still needs to get stronger and work on his pass moves. As a 3-4 defense you can never have enough LB's.

Anyone think Willy would be a good option for veteran depth? Not sure what he has left. If not, what do you think we should do?

I'd rather move Carpenter back outside and get Derrick Brooks. But I don't want that either.

If we're running a 2-4 defense, I'd think we'd go after some secondary help instead!

Don't take the teasing so personal. They're just trying to have fun. Roll with it.

Donnie Edwards is pretty good and he knows Wades defense. And he's younger than both of them, I think hes still available.

It's not a bad idea IMO.

Why not? He's a big, strong guy, so he'd be suited for the strongside.

Plus he has a great attitude. He'd have to be a better mentor than Greggy Weggy.

Only thing is, if the Belichick and Parcells families don't want him anymore, he might be totally finished.

Ya I just didn't know if he was done or not. He played with Cleveland last year and don't know how well he played. Someone mentioned Donnie Edwards. I think a move has to be made though. One year deal and wait for B-Will to recover.

Depends on who's job is going to be taken from them. I wouldn't want to lose a younster who has some upside.

Willie Mac is an expensive veteran, the type of player no team wants on the roster for week one because his base salary will then be fully guaranteed.

I expect we will go young and only look at a veteran signing during the season if needed.

Steve Octavien is a bit undersized on the outside, but worth a further look along with rookie Victor Butler.

I don't think that's the case. Spencer and Ware would be starting. With Butler,Octavian and *insert veteran here* being depth.

Edwards is an ILB... Way too small to play outside. That's really a completely different position.

But they may just keep Octavien since he could contribute on STs and Willie G wouldn't.

As far as that goes, if Rogers isn't hurt too badly, maybe he just sticks. He's pretty good on STs, too.

I dunno though, Jerry did love McGinest way back in the day and he seems to like to look at those guys if they become available again.

Fin's public enemy #1.

I really dislike keeping outside 'backers who don't play defense at all.

Brandon Williams' unfortunate injury has opened the door for someone, I'd rather it not be Justin Rodgers.

But if he is, I'll live.
