Willie is a class act and a helluva player: once upon a time. His legs are just not there guys. He can't run like he used to and well, we need him to be fast enough to be effective: no thanks. I would pay close attention to Tenn., Baltimore, Pitt, New England, etc...they're all loaded with good Lbers. We can maybe swing a trade before one of them hits the waiver wire. As a matter of fact: I'd expect it before too much longer....................

As long as we are looking at old linebackers, how about Lawrence Taylor? He does good things to Commanders! :laugh2:

Another option is having Jason Williams move outside as a rush specialist. With the way Brooking (and even Carp) is playing, JWill is likely NOT going to contribute much at ILB this season.

As much as Williams has to learn, I'd rather keep him inside and let him learn that position as best he can.

I agree that he has a lot to learn at ILB, but I am also of the mind that you get your best players on the field. JWill is a natural at rushing the passer, which is all he will be asked to do as a pass rush specialist.

I don't see how this would prevent him from playing ILB on the scout team. After preseason, Jason Williams will not be getting many reps as an ILB unless it is on the scout team.

McGinist's career is quite done. Take it from a pats fan. if he had anything left in the tank, he'd be a Patriot. He even struggled while playing with Cleveland and that was with limited action.

Welcome to the Zone man.

Just curious, what made you join, and in the middle of the offseason? Do we play you guys again this year?

take a flyer on Boss Bailey. He is extremely athletic. Maybe we can salvage him?

reputation. I heard how active this board is and thought it would be "enriching" to join. I'm on Patsfans.com a lot, and it's very active but not quite as much. kudos to you guys. And i also used to root for the 'boys back in the 90's (when I was growing up). O, and i hope we do play again this year :)
