did not seem to deter us vs San Fran who was up 14 yet was still over 3 qrts left to play. GB is not going to panic if they get down by 7 in the opening drive, GB and Rodgers are too experienced for that.

The key word is still optimum.

I like getting the ball to start the 2nd half but only If your defense is better than the other team's offense. Not the case here. Take the ball and score.

I just don't think games are won and lost on the opening kickoff. I think 2nd half allows you to come out and extend your lead putting the opposition down 2 scores or if trailing it allows you a chance to get back into the game. Regardless if you score on the opening drive or not is not going to alter anything.

I have always had that mindset. I see more advantage having the ball coming out of half time than I do on the opening kick off.

In principal I agree. But with this team I like the idea of setting the tone early. Of course that means you have succeed on that first drive.
I get the strategic atvantage of getting the ball to start the second half though

Again for me it is a preference, I just do not see how an opening kick off and drive will determine the outcome of a game. GB is not going to go into a hole because Cowboys open up with a scoring drive they have way too much experience to panic. I think having a chance to put a team down 2 scores coming out of half time can start to change what they do and get them out of their game plan. Opening drive is not going to do that. But again we all see this different, that is fine.

I'm not saying that. Only ball control teams need possessions and optimally to play with a lead.
