And if Murray reinjures his hand and Romo takes another knee to the back in a pointless game you won't crucify our coaching staff?

Agreed just rest players next week and if we are somehow fortunate to get a bye then great. If not the key players get their bye next week and get healthy for the playoffs.

It's a long shot but if the Seahawks lose to the Rams there's a chance for the bye we have to beat Washington

according to the playoff machine the wash game is kind of meaningless... if the cards win tonight the only way to get a bye is with a lions vs GB tie. If seattle wins tonight. Then we need the 49ers to beat the cards and the rams to beat the seahawks and according to the playoff generator it doesn't matter if we win vs washington according to it, we would get a first round bye.

We wouldn't have to beat Washington if the Seahawks lose to the Rams and Cards lose to the Niners. Seahawks win the NFC West. Both teams would be 11-5 and the winner of the North would be 12-4. In that scenario we have the tiebreaker over Seattle.

Good to know we have insurance in that situation, still I don't think this coach has the make up of a guy who will pull the reins back on this team.

Cut the caps crap out. You are wrong on this.

In my scenario Seattle and Arizona are 11-5.

Seattle wins the division because of head to head. We lose to the Commanders we are 11-5 too and we win the tiebreaker against Seattle because of head to head.

Are you still going to argue with me?

If we win today there is almost no chance that next week matters so let's just win today and use next week as our bye.
actually win today and if Seattle keeps winning it gives us a shot for a first round bye if we win out. So win out and get one of the top two seeds.

Packers and Lions both have tiebreakers and barring a tie one has to win next week

Romo probably shouldn't play next week, Murray either. Honestly you should rest all the starters.

It is an easy decision.

You rest Romo and get him ready for week 1 of the playoffs.

You probably rest Murray and let the swelling in the hand come down.

Seeding scenario * If Dallas wins out and Seattle wins out *:

#1 Seed: Green Bay or Detroit
#2 Seed: Dallas Cowboys
#3 Seed: Seattle
#4 and # 5 Seeds: Arizona, Green Bay or Detroit

If Seattle wins tonight, and next week, they clinch the division over Arizona and finish with a 12-4 record. They would have beaten Arizona twice and finished with a better division record IF Dallas wins next week, they finish with a 12-4 record. Dallas beat Seattle earlier in the season, so the Cowboys take the #2 seed.

The only players I sit vs Washington are those who are nicked....Free, Martin, Murray....maybe I rest Witten at his age to try and get his legs back a little. I play Romo at least a half....I don't sit healthy players.

I guarantee that Haslett will be throwing the kitchen sink at us ... all things be dammed !!! He's gonna blitz 8 players, and take as many hits on Romo as he can.

With the way we've one the last two games they can't sit the starters next week they need to keep the momentum going.
