I think we should all take a step back and savor winning ugly. In the past, we would have big wins and flashy wins from Sept - Nov., only to fade down the stretch. Now we are winning in Dec., but it's not pretty. McCarthy is a hard nosed coach who might not win with style points - but we are going to be a tough out for anyone in the playoffs. We should just savor not being all flash this year, and actually having some bite to the team.

Winning is all that matters, of course, but you have to see who we're doing it against too. Those teams we can afford to play bad and still win against.

If the offense does not get out of the funk that it's in we're toast. We are not going to win 4 straight playoff games with ugly wins. That's just not going to happen.

As long as we are winning. Defense wins championships.

We are all good. In DQ we trust. Parsons, D-Law, Diggs, Gallimore, Lewis, A. Brown, Kearse and the other defensive players are the best in the NFL.

Go Dallas!!!

Winning Ugly is better than losing.

Nothing wrong with talking about the issues a team might have. The offense not scoring well, the run game not working well, the passing game not as good as it was, bad calls or lack of calls from coaches.

But at the end of the day 10-4 even if it has ugly wins is still going to be better than 4-10.

There have been times when the offense was killing it and they still loss. In those times if anyone would talk about the positives they would say it was a loss and moral victories do not count.

Wins and Loses count. Whether it is an ugly win or a pretty loss.

Rodgers and GB beat a Ravens team with a backup QB by the skin of their teeth. Needed help from the refs and came down to a failed 2-point conversion to get the win.

Anyone calling GB’s win ugly?

GB division is trash this year. Might be even worse than the NFC East last year. Lions and Bears are bottom 5 cellar dwellers. Vikes are so-so.

Winning ugly is still winning. Hopefully the ugly things occurring in wins don’t cause the team to lose in the playoffs.

I'll take ugly wins over pretty defeats (Tampa Bay, week one) anytime.

No matter who's on the schedule people tend to underestimate how hard it is to win games in the NFL. See Arizona vs. Detroit.

I don't care about winning pretty or ugly...as long as we win. in the past as you said we lost ugly games. now we find ways to win ugly games.....that's sign of a good team.

If Nick Foles can win a Superbowl so can we

and there are only two divisions that are really better than the rest of the divisions, AFC west and NFC west (although there is a 5 win team in that division, there are two 10 win teams).

the rest are about the same...so all this stuff about playing the worst division is non-sense at this point.

When in the past did we fade down the stretch after having a big Sep-Nov?
We went 3-1 in December 2020.
We went from 6-6 to 8-8 in December 2019.
3-1 in December 2018, including winning the last two and a big win against Philly to take the division.
3-1 in December 2017.
3-1 in December 2016 (we sat everyone in the final game in early January).
We got one of our four season wins in December 2015 lol.
4-0 in December 2014.

You have to go back to the 8-8 years of 2011-13 to find teams that fit your description, but that was a long time ago. Tyron is the only guy still around from back then.

I agree, I would much rather see a perfect game by offense and defense but in the end the only important thing is winning. Bad teams lose the ugly games and good teams find ways to win them.

Ugly winning is the definition of the yr Payton Manning won the Sb in 2015 he played 10 games passes for 9 tds and threw 17 interceptions.

The Broncos defense was playing lights out. We don’t have the pass rush they did.
