Winning Ugly

Ugly wins are very beneficial....keeps you from getting greedy, cocky and over confident.....also puts a spotlight on your deficiencies as a team.......it does what a loss would do, without having to lose.

and there are only two divisions that are really better than the rest of the divisions, AFC west and NFC west (although there is a 5 win team in that division, there are two 10 win teams).

the rest are about the same...so all this stuff about playing the worst division is non-sense at this point.

AFCN is looking pretty good as well.
Browns blew and opportunity to be 8-6. Ravens, Harbaugh gave 2 games away. Bengals blew 3 games they could have won. But yet Browns is the worse team at 7-7.

true. seems like they are all about even. no team below .500....

my point was that many said we play in an easy division and the worst division, but its not true...there are a couple that are worse...the rest about the same. about three that are better (more wins overall)

I think we should all take a step back and savor winning ugly. In the past, we would have big wins and flashy wins from Sept - Nov., only to fade down the stretch. Now we are winning in Dec., but it's not pretty. McCarthy is a hard nosed coach who might not win with style points - but we are going to be a tough out for anyone in the playoffs. We should just savor not being all flash this year, and actually having some bite to the team.
Just win baby!!!

I dont mind winning ugly, I just worry when its against bad teams week after week

A win is a win, but the odds of winning are greatly diminished when the offense has trouble scoring points. I am not asking for the greatest show on turf, but I would like to see a couple of drives finished per game.

This team needs to go hardcore run including RPOs for Dak, force the opponent to respect the run. If they can do that the passing game will open for dak. He isn't in a funk, there's just too many defenders in the secondary for him to read and deal with.

McCarthy,,,,, hard nosed? Wha?
