As I've been saying for the past few weeks, the Eagles not only have an aging core of veterans but are suffering from several consecutive poor drafts. Look at some of their recent first round picks, Bunkley, Justice, McDougle, Freddie Mitchell.. these mistakes really do start to add up.

of this i can agree. the eagles for hte longest time had damn good drafts going on and i don't know them well enough to know what's changed. but the eagles are dangerous at times, falling apart at all other times.

reid is to be fired in a year or two. to be honest, reid should probably step down and walk away and go take care of his kids.

he doesn't need the money. his kids need him.

but all that aside, the eagles run is over but that doesn't make them a push over team. even when we could only muster up 1 win in a season it was still within the division.

westbrook is more important to the eagles than mcnabb. the defense is falling off and the offense, they still don't invest in legitimate "weapons"

The draft is difficult. I hate it when people rag on Jerry Jones' drafts. Every team makes mistakes. There were many on this board wanting to draft Justice and then giving mad props to the Eagles for taking him (and Bunkley). Now the Eagles may be calling Rob Pettiti. How about those that wanted WR Jarrett from USC. Has he played yet? He was inactive the first two games. How many wanted Jarrett? If you are going to criticize Jerry Jones, at least acknowledge your own mistaken draft guesses too.

Wow, I remember watching the 05' draft hoping, and praying Justice would fall to us, and being upset we took Carpenter over Justice/Lawson/Holmes or whoever.

hey your preaching to the choir I think that whole front office of reid, lurie and banner are fantastic.

I gotta disagree. A lot of the guys on D were Ray Rhodes' guys, and these guys ablostuely refused to give McNabb good WRs. Torrence Small, Charles Johnson, James Thrash, Todd Pinkston, Freddie Mitchel are just some of the guys McNabb has had. Not to mention how Reid and co low balled TO, who b/c of circumstances beyond his control, was stuck beyond a rock and a hard place. I actually feel sorry for McNabb, he deserved better than Philly.

Carpenter hasn't been owned like Justice was... ever. I'm not trying to say that Carp is a stud LB, but Justice doesn't belong on a NFL field right now.

well we will agree to disagree then.

That front office has been very good. you are shorting them. they have some questionable picks like everyone.

they are a well constructed team. I hate that they have been as good as they have, but Credit has to be given to them for their outstanding work.

Again you disagree and I can see why many do. I happen to like the way they have built that team. Considering banner and luries backgrounds they have stayed true to what they believe in and that is worth commending.

Justice couldn't hold Jacob Rogers' jock at USC. Ask any Trojan fan, he was the worst player on their OL his senior year. I never understood why he was considered a first round prospect.

Wow!

Just wow!

When you have harped on the O-line for the last few years, it is hard to just drop it and be happy.

Sure the Oline could be better, every teams Oline could be better, but I think they are doing a pretty darn good job.

Man, he looks absolutely pathetic. Who said Dallas missed out on him in the draft? Max Gene Gilles to right? He hasn't had a sniff of the field either.

Suddenly the talent evaluation in Philly has taken a big hit tonight. :D

I admit, I was one of the fools who wanted Dallas to draft him. I guess thats why Im a fan and not a GM. Its also why I dont get upset too often by anyone they pick.

Justice made some good money lastnight. Not sure but it looked like the Giant defenders we sliding some money in his pocket as they were going around him. :laugh2:

i've said several times the OL *has* come a very long way. i'd like to see a little more work on it, that's all. if you or others feel the line is fine and "there" - great.

Andy Reid is a friggin' bufoon. To continually leave that guy out there on an island.......I didn't see a fullback or tight end or anyone chip or help on OSI one time. Reid's kids must have him distracted. IF Justice had any potential it's probably shot now. He was just about in tears by the end of the debacle. I'd have felt pity for him if he wasn't in an Iggles uniform!

The Justice pet cat committee out in force today.

I wonder if drafting Winston Justice would have been considered a "legitimate attempt" to fix our offensive line.

You know - nothing like that illegitimate Kyle Kosier attempt...
