Was watching some of the Saints WFT the other day and I just can’t see Winston as Sean Payton’s long term Qb . The man is a turnover machine . But if the Saints finish with enough mediocrity they may draft high enough to snag someone in round 1 or 2.

Saints organization will not settle for .500 football for long they expect better. This isn’t the Lions .

Hmm.. a lot to chew on there Sparky. Will be interesting to see what they do. Winston would make a nice backup for us.

Winston has too much ego to be a backup.

The way the guy can turn over the ball is also a bad trend for a backup.

In one half of football last week he sailed an INT and on a sack he coughed up the ball. Bruce Arians in Tampa saw this and moved on. Sean P in NO won’t go with that much past this season. Taysom Hill not the answer either .

I was checking out the saints passing stats earlier and I was surprised they are dead last in attempts and completion % and near last in so many other passing stats. I expected to see Winston with the turnovers but wasn’t expecting to see they’ve basically given up on passing the ball.

You say that....yet Winston is near the top of the league in Total Tds - Total Turnovers.
And although Dak is outplaying him overall, he's better than Dak so far in that category this year (+9 to +8)....and Dak has been good.

The turnovers man it’s the turnovers . I believe in Tampa his last season was 30 Td’s but 30 int’s.

Sean P can’t bear to watch .

I hear you.

What I'm saying is that THIS year (so far, being the key), he is not turning it over nearly as much.

He has LESS turnovers than Dak this year so far, yet the same number of TDs

He has 13 TDs and 4 turnovers in 5 games.

Jameis Winston is garbage! No team is going anywhere with this QB. However, he is a very good backup QB for a few games if need be. Out for 4 games? Winston might get you 2-2 during that stretch.

Is your memory that short? Before there was the dumpster-dwelling Lions, there were the perpetual cellar-dwelling Saints. They are settling back to their normal state w/o Brees. They may be above .500 this season but time will see that team fade away unless they move.

Right the “ perpetual cellar dwelling “ Saints who were constantly in contention with Brees and the HC. Your football knowledge is slipping Joe slipping. Take some memory pills

Saints have too good of a roster to rely on a QB from next year's weak QB crop, trading for Watson might be there best bet, and Watson's best option as well

NO! Before Brees.

Holy smokes I’m talking the Brees Sean P era not Archie Manning and bags over heads. Heck if you go far back enough the Patriots were horse drops until Brady Belichick. The Saints fan not accustomed to 8-9 record with as many turnovers as touchdowns. That’s for Lions fans to enjoy
