So I took the advice of some of you guys and listened for awhile and you're right, those guys are great. Complete meltdown. Todays highlights...

"By any means necessary."

That's what the hosts are talking about this afternoon. They want the players to send a message early with a "special type of hit that sets the tone."

Players they specifically said they want no part of.

Columbo..."Nasty"
Flo..."Big and nasty, plus don't awaken a sleeping giant."
Miles..."He came from special teams, don't wanna mess with him."

But...Roy Williams is their guy. "He's a punk! He's soft already so go after him, it's worth an early 15 yards, gets everybody fired up and he'll go into a fetal position."

The callers went crazy. Then they started talking about pulling Barber down by his hair...by any means necessary. The Host said its not a penalty as long as you let go when you're on the ground, so do it! (is that true?).

It's all great fun and frivolity, really. A laugh a minute.

My question is, why take Roy out of the game when he does a perfectly good job of doing it himself.

lol....i hope they all find the nearest bridge after Saturday :p:

They also mentioned placing a bounty on Romo and hitting him hard, even late if necessary.

Its going to be a brawl b/c the Eags got no chance playing straight up football, they are going to want to get the Cowboys out of their game as early as possible.

If they do that, I hope we return the favor...... let some of our defensive players go headhunting on McNabb.

I noticed they started that at the end of the last game.

Yup. The D players said they were setting the tone for the next game.

Kinda reminds me of the NFC Champ game against the Packers in 1995. One of the Packers D-linemen took a cheap shot on Erik Williams, and then he rolled him on the next play, knocking him out of the game. The entire Packers team was upset.

They then started hitting Emmitt Smith out of bounds, knocking him into the kickers net, and tried to get physical with Irvin. Irvin caught a nice first down pass and rubbed it in their faces with his patented first down signal.

He then went into their defensive huddle by himself and told them to chill out.

Man, I miss a guy like Irvin.

just shows you the class of philly, and yes it is legal to pull down a player by the hair as long as you let go within the tackle.

If they want to win, I would suggest they try and keep Roy in the game as long as possible.

Good, I'm glad. Everyone is friends these days and "thats my boy" same agents, blah...blah...blah. I'm tired of that stuff. Play the game and play it right but if something breaks out, (cheap shot on Romo) it's on and you better be in on it!

The tone for what? The *** whooping that awaits? No one in the media credits Romo for his toughness, but he has taken some hits and bounced right back.

Giants game from last year, 1st Commanders game this year, and the game last weekend come to mind.

Setting the tone by hitting a QB late is complete garbage and bush league. It won't rattle Romo.

They blitzed the hell out of him in the first game this year, and he picked them apart. He got up every time they hit him and connected on a pass play.

I honestly don't know what is worse, the WIP proposed tactics or our fans whining about a player.

One reason I want Colombo in the game.

More and more I am starting to agree. That is one guy who will brawl at the drop of a hat. :D

So these clowns will use any dirty tactic to try and beat us? Alright I'm calling in, and destroing one of their announcers. I can't believe White Trash have been given out jobs up there!

Hos if you're referring to the RW comment at the end of the post, I wasn't whining about Roy, it was a good natured jab, think Jay Leno.

I actually respect the way he's handled himself and his effort. He's not a bad guy or a bad player...he's lost confidence. However, whining about a player is part of the social fabric of sports, the stuff going on over there is classless garbage. Not the same.
