I live in philly and refuse to listen to the station. All the hosts are complete idiots! they are all homers and know nothing about sports... Kind of like there fans... Eskin who is on from 3-7 i would love to personally punch right in the face. And gargano who is on from 10-2 is a complete FRAUD!!! 97.5 the fantatic is not as bad cause Brian Balldinger and Vai Sikihema is on that station and they are not homers and actually talk sports with some knowledge... I hope they come out and try to cheap shot cause you know colombo and Flozelle will be ready to go among others.. OOOOOO 8 pm saturday cannot come soon enough!!! I want this game more than anything!!!:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Hos if you're referring to the RW comment at the end of the post, I wasn't whining about Roy, it was a good natured jab, think Jay Leno.

I actually respect the way he's handled himself and his effort. He's not a bad guy or a bad player...he's lost confidence. However, whining about a player is part of the social fabric of sports, the stuff going on over there is classless garbage. Not the same.
I said fans not fan. There are jabs throughout the thread. IMO more annoying than what the guys at WIP are proposing. Forgive me, I get tired of the same gutter tactics.

From what I've seen pulling someone down by their hair is legal. I saw Polamalu get taken down after an INT in such a way. In that case it was pretty hilarious, in Barber's case probably not so much, lol.

So they are going to go after Romo and hit him late???

Two can play that ****, if Romo goes down McNabb gets carted next series. If Austin gets cheap shoted, so does DJax next series. If Ware gets rolled up and cut blocked, Trent Cole's knee gets shredded next series.

You want to play dirty Philly, lets do it. You want to pull Barber down by his hair, then we will pull Westbrook down horsecollar style.

If they want to play some streetball, lets play that ****!!!!

WIP is a cesspool and the hosts, for the most part, are clueless idiots. The number one idiot is Cataldi (and his morning crew). They engineered the infamous trip to NYC for The Dirty Thirty to boo McNabb.

Call in and disagree with them on the Eagles negativity they spew and they'll cut you off.

I used to live in PHL (I'm an Eagles fan) and I hate that radio station.

Another note:

The Eagles will not go dirty. Hell, even if they wanted to its too risky because of the flag-happy referees.

Clemons got away with a shot on Romo late and I'm surprised it was not called. It was far worse than the cheapie that Moise Fokou was slapped with when his hand grazed Romo's facemask earlier.

He might be a punk.

But he's our punk.

So watch the name-calling cause DoodooShawn and McFlabb will get taken down, only to become our punks.

Isn't WIP a sister station to WFAN in NYC? I know Cataldi loves to rile up people the same way Fatchesa usually does.

Sister only in the sense that they are operated by the same parent company.

WFAN blows WIP away. They actually talk sports up in NYC. WIP, particularly Cataldi, wouldn't know what Jimmy Rollins' OBP % is or what college Jeremy Maclin went to without his producer telling him (after consulting a media guide).

Cataldi is a guy who tries to rip off Stern, even to the extent of using the same plastic surgeon Howard used years ago to promote a free boob job stunt.

I hope it's a physical game. If it is, the Eaglets will have some worrying to do. Our secondary beat their receivers and Celek up a few times last week. We have a much more explosive front, better LBs, what more could you want? I haven't ever wished an injury on a player - either as a fan or even when I played in college, but I know if I got the chance...and I'm sure these guys are no different...I would tear the skull off of McNabb if I had the chance. A classic shot would be him being wrapped up, and driven into the turf on his back by one of our front guys...really make him wonder what universe he was in.:)

Touch a QB's helmet and you get a flag. That's been pretty consistently called when they see it for a few years now.

On the Clemons play, I can only assume the refs didn't see it.

The Eagles used to be a very physical team and now they more or less just pretend to be one.

Despite having a large OL, their offense is about as finesse as they come. Their RBs, WRs and TEs is probably the smallest bunch in the league at the skill positions. Their massive OL couldn't gain 4 inches on us on a QB sneak in the first game despite having a running QB who weighs 240 pounds.

Despite all the feigned toughness, their defense as actually very much a finesse unit trying to beat people with speed and blitzes - a far cry from the Reggie White destruction crew they used to have over there. The only real physical player they have anymore is Trotter and he is just a part-time LB now. Even Dawkins was let go in the offseason (big mistake from the leadership POV).

This game is ours if we don't give up big pass plays and don't turn over the ball. We just need to get after McNabb and not worry much about their ground game. I do think you always have to worry about the screen game but not the running attack.

Trotter is about ready for a walker by now. Get him in coverage and he is beaten before the game starts. gettin the run going will be key. They bite down on that and Romo will disect them with 10-20 yard passes. It will be fun to watch, but it will be nerve wracking. I want another blow out.

I honestly don't know what is worse, the WIP proposed tactics or our fans whining about a player.

The whining....hands down.

Wow, Dallas has really gotten in Philly's heads.

Yea, I have never heard so much chest thumping from a team that got throughly dominated in every facet of the game.

Usually the team that talks the most **** is the one that is really worried.

They're bullies that thought they had Dallas figured out. They thought Dallas was soft and could easily be vanquished. The soft times are over, however, and Philly is absolutely terrified. I would be very surprised if they didn't lose.

This..

let's hope they do try to take Roy out of the game. If they concentrate on that then they are not trying to play football and we will make some plays. Also let them take late hits and all that crap. We need to let them do whatever and let them get the flags not us. Just go out do your job don't get caught up in any crap and after the dust settles point to the scoreboard and send their sorry *** back to that miserable city to cry in their beers.
