So many threads now on who we should root for..... The truth is we want to root for neither as it should be..... Neither idea is good...... We rather go with the Dynasty that is the Patriots, or an empty trophy case we long to throw in the faces of each and every Eagles fan. Both endings suck being they both one up us.... The Patriots actually do one up us in SB's won. The other just proves how off we are when a new HC can get them to the promise land in 2 years. Either way it will leave a bur in your saddle.

Personally I have to agree the Patriots are the team of the salary cap era. Done it time and time again. I hate to admit it, but the record speaks volume. My only issue is after so many years of no competition getting to the playoffs, when will divisions be mixed again to create better matches? Remember even our division had the Cardinals at one time.

Now the Patriots have the easiest division in all of football..... While the Bills did make a few SB's in the 90's they never won one.... Sadly they were not only beaten in points, but beaten like a child that stole something. Then there is the Jet's. Not really done anything since SB 3..... Broadway Joe is no longer., sadly to say..... Lastly is the Dolphins.... Not been to an AFC Championship since Shula.....

Come on man..... This division reeks of pure cattle dung. I know they are in the AFC but please let them see some team with heart in their 6 games of boredom within their division. Hell I would even ask to make them NFC East in exchange for the worst team record in the last 20 years in our division, and guess what folks, it is not us...... For the record it is our rivals, and while I love playing Indians and Cowboys, Could you image Patriots vs Cowboys twice a tear?..... It would make our front office wake up and smell the coffee brewing and just maybe work harder at being relevant with them in our division.

Regardless if they stay AFC or not, I just want the NFL to work on making more divisions like ours and the NFC North and South. The AFC has been rather lackluster for quite a few years other than an easy trail to the SB and facing a beat up team from the NFC..... Sorry but anyone making it from the NFC has to fight hell and brimstone to get there.... No wonder we are easy prey to teams that really don't have to fight much at all.....

That is the exact thing I pointed out to my son. The Pats have such an easy division all they need to do is go 5-5 in their non-division games and they are guaranteed at least a 11-5 record. I know the Pats have won a crap load of games under Belicheat and Brady but it's a pretty tainted record considering their weak division. Talk about an easy road to the playoffs each year.

It is pretty amazing how crappy every other team in their division has been, overall, for the last x number of years.

It doesn't get talked about much but it's definitely a luxury that they've thoroughly enjoyed.

Yep the Pats are in the weak sister division and maybe that preserves their health over the course of 16 games because playing weak sisters is easier on the bones. Then there is also the thought that playing tough competition breeds tough playoff contending teams. My thoughts? There is no better coached team in the NFL than the Pats. Not even a close second. They've dominated the past 10 SB's in a salary cap era where teams like the Bronco's and Seahawks win 1 then their names disappear off the Lombardi. Credit coaching, savvy management, not over spending in FA, building through the draft and coaching the coachable. If a player has an attitude (see Dez) and aren't coachable (see Blount) Bell doesn't keep them around for long. Doesn't hurt to have, the GOAT, Brady either. I've seen fans comments eschewing the virtues of the Shmeagles, meh, one year makes them worthy of no more worthy of eschewing than the Seahawks, Broncos or Steelers.

So if the Eagles win, what happens with the trophy case icon?
Does it go away, or a trophy is added, then we can say we have 5 to 1...but that means nothing over the last 20 years.
Eagles been to 5 NFCCG and 2 SB's. We have 2 playoff wins. They may make a trophy case about us soon.

Brady has what 36 playoff wins as a side note.

If the eagles win, THEN they will be two more super bowl wins away from being tied for last place in the division.

Getting 6 games a year with inferior opponents helps a lot.

we were 5-1 in the division this, year, how'd that go? point is, if you aren't dominating the rest of the league as well, you don't get to the playoffs, They kill everybody. They win 4 or 5 or all 6 of their division games each year. if they were in the toughest division, they'd be doing the same.
