Wishful Thinking: Julius Jones trade

People fall in love with backup running backs even more than they do with backup QBs.

Just remember, for every Larry Johnson there are at least 10 Reshard Lees and Troy Hambricks.

HAMBONE HAMBRICK!!!!! HE IS THE FUTURE!!!!

i agree, i just see great speed, with great moves from Norwood.

Now he probably can't be an every down back, but we have Barber, to help take some of the load.

and yeah this is all wishful thinking on my part, but JJ isn't getting it done, he has been average, nothing more nothing less. I actually think he was better his rookie year, than now

This is usually about the time Julius turns in a big perfomance. The guy has it in him.

Barber is effective largely due to Jones as well. I think we have something good in that backfield. Jones needs to be utilized in space more, screens, etc.

Screens maybe, but no more flare outs to Jones, he almost cost us a turnover, when he dropped that flare out from Romo, luckly is wasn't a lateral

you have a good point. Julius Jones come on this time of the year he might boost up once playoffs come, if not Marion Barber will be in there slicing the Defense up.

Deion Sanders even said don't be suprised to see Marion Barber as the starting tailback once the playoffs start.

while we are making these trades lets trade flo for walter jones, and rivera for steve hutchinson

would like it

but not going to happen...EVER

Not me! Norwood has had maybe two or three decent games with limited playing time. None of that translates into a game breaking RB.

I like Julius where he is. Julius is still a good RB, just needs some blocking in front of him, which does not seem to be the case 75% of the time.

Man Julius Jones is on pace for like 1,300 yards rushing splitting time with MBIII and you want to trade him? Someone delete this thread quick!

Great post ..... anyone who wants to trade JJ for his performance this year does not know football.

Is there something wrong with the Cowboys running game that needs to be fixed?

Nothing I can think of, but everybody wants to fix what isn't broke.

1) JJ is better than Norwood... why would you have to trade him AND a pick?

2) JJ is about to go over 1000 yards for the first time... this is statistically his best season, and he's been healthy. What reason is there to give up on him now?

3) If you're looking for a good young RB, who WILL BE AVAILABLE... see Michael Turner in San Diego. He'll be a free agent this off-season IIRC. The Chargers have no need for him, LT doesn't need a change of pace back. At least not one who could be starting elsewhere. The Chargers are gonna let him go.

Do not turn ur backs on JJ yet.He is due.Its coming he is getting mad.

The trade idea is ridiculous but MBIII has proven this year to be the far superior back. Julius just seems to not be mentally right, maybe all BP's mind games have bothered him. Barber may not be as fast as Jones but kinda like Romo - doesn't the O-Line look so much better when Barber is in the game?
