I see a lot of 4 man lines in this game to stop the run.

His fears aren't totally unfounded, we're 22nd in the league in yards per carry, at 4.3...

Our total rush defense standings are skewed by the fact opponents haven't really run the ball all that much against us-- 22.3 times, next to last in the NFL...

That's mostly skewed by the Eagles games (9 rushes for 19 yards). Without that game, Dallas yould be about middle of the pack - 25 carries for 110 yards per game.

It's been a mixed bag, really. While Oakland and San Fran had success running the football, LT, Clinton Portis, and Tiki Barber all had pretty unremarkable days.

Actually we did not stuff LT. The Chargers, in their infanite wisdom, suspended Gates. They had to keep LT in to max Protect. If Gates had of played in that game, it would have been a totally different game. Gates is not your typical TE. He plays downfield alot. Even when he catches it 3 yards downfield, he can get df in a hurry.
If frogs had wings they wouldn't bump their butts everytime they jump.

The fact is that we DID stuff LT. What we or they would have done had Gates been there is just speculation. We have also pretty well milited some other pretty good RB's this year. Yes Alexander is a good RB but I he is not my major concern with the Seahawks; I'm actually more concerned about their passing game. Hassellbeck has got it going on pretty well this year and we tend to be succeptable to the underneath routes that their WC style offense uses a lot of.

not worried about him crinks or not. tucker physically can manhandle him, and wistrom isnt the kind of guy that makes OL false start because of speed. Tucker just needs to finish the blocks and stay focused on the play until its actually over. If Tucker can not commit any penalties this game, i think its a success for him.

All fair comments, no arguments from this quarter...

Wistrom is nearing the end of his career. He's a high motor guy, but he doesn't have the physical tools anymore. Tucker should do fine against him, as long as he doesn't take plays off.

I may sound uninformed here, but what are crinks, and how did they get in his back?

they are microscopic wormlike creatures that burrow deep into aging DE's backbones. They are constantling gnawing away and cause a lot of discomfort and weakening of surrounding muscles. Untreatable.

Wistrom's got em.

This will be a big game for Fergeson and Spears - wonder if Pepper will be activated for this game?

Dude is playing with crinks in his back.

Is undersized and has 1 sack. This guy is hardly the threat he's being made out to be here.....

He's not a speedrusher, but he does have a hell of a motor.

It's gonna require some serious FOCUS on the part of Torrin Tucker to contain him. No letting up on plays. But if he can do that, he can shut down Wistrom.
