I use to hate Stephen A Smith but all those years he was so right when he called the Cowboys a train wreck waiting to happen.
ive broken the chains and no longer feel the pain of every loss the Cowboys have.
When they win I don't really care either.
I do enjoy seeing the opinions on this forum and I do enjoy stating how to fix the team.
The Cowboys are like an old car I just sold and no longer care about.

Ups: We have a good core of young players on this team that have the potential to really do something special. We have a new coach and he's assembled coaches who aren't his buddies, they're speaking of being aggressive and physical! What Cowboys fan wouldn't like to see us be more aggressive and physical??

Downs: Jerry is still here and he's not going anywhere. We continue to hold up signings, and end up paying more in the end. We lack discipline, but maybe these new coaches instill something we've been needing for years! Fear of the unknown with this new defense and offense. Will our franchise QB return without injuries???

So I ask you, and trust there's so much more, but I HAVE to let you get your thoughts in. What brings you back every season as a Cowboys fan??? Maybe it's the traditions, you've been a fan since you were 10 years old etc etc!! Please give your thoughts on what brings you back ole Cowboys Faithfuls!!!

Genetics - My father was a life-long Cowboys fan. Aside from fishing with him, the Sunday Cowboy's game was our 'bonding' time

Habit - I've been a fan for a half century. Besides, what else am I going to do on Sunday afternoon after church?

Optimism - Hope springs eternal. Much like our bears shaking off hibernation, new buds on the trees and the plowed fields starting show green, i have hope the Cowboys will have a good season.

The irrational belief that the planets will align and luck will deliver us a contender keeps me from losing interest altogether. Throw in some occasional victories against hated rivals and there's just enough highs to counter the lows from week to week. There is some bitterness and incredulity mounting though, this isn't sustainable.

Being a fan has become an ongoing bad habit that I can't seem to break. Perhaps another season like the last couple will be all the excuse I'll need to save myself. Another typical offseason from Jerry might be all that it'll take to switch to another team. There's another one in state that looks pretty tempting.

The only team is the Cowboys! The others are just competition. This team has me and like most here we can't seem to quit a good woman even if she is bad for us. I love the Star and I can't just move on regardless of the GM/ownership.
