With an aggressive off season and draft, the Cowboys 2025 record could be?

You first. Suggest a post-1995 season when the front office 'attacked free agency with a force not seen in years'. Also, add a particular year during that range that aligns with your definition of an 'impressive draft'.

Bonus points if you can fit both of those criteria into a single year.
If I can do that, (looks around) do you think you'd answer my emails referring to my request for mod-hood????? You never answer my emails!

you didn't get a like on this picture I know you're happy about that!

The sky’s the limit this upcoming season. Jerry will let all of us know the entire offseason. Get those season tickets and Cowboy’s merchandise. This is our year.

Doesn't have to be aggressive. The Eagles won because of their core group. Barkley fell into their lap.

We need for last years draft to produce. Sam Willams to be a decent force as a rusher. Add a guy in the middle. Draft one immediate I'mpact player.

the record ... between 11 and 13 wins

Cowboys were a special teams mishap and Marcus Mariotta staying on the bench from a 9-8 season with all the things that went against the cowboys and a brutal schedule.

Cows get KC at home .. win
Cows get Den on the road ... Cows haven't beaten Den since ironically the last season the Cows won the SB. So if the Cows beat Den could signal good things ahead. But bet Den until they do
Cows get Charger ... Nothing says Herbert is overrated like Herbert being winless against the Cowboys! Cowboys simply don't beat true elite QB. Cowboys will have to dramatically improve their physicality if they are to beat Harbaugh's Chargers. Last preseason Harbaugh's Chargers flat out bullied the Cows. Something that had me worried about the then upcoming season
Cow get Raiders .. Won't be easy.
Cows get the Mighty NFC NORTH(at least in 2024) I expect a regression to the mean in 2025
Cows get GB at home. Most of these games are close despite the playoffs a couple years ago. GB is not that good. The QB is not the next in the pantheon. Cowboys have a habit of losing to GB. Dak has a habit of throwing multiple Interceptions vs GB. Run, baby, run
Cows get Minny at the crib. Cows have dominated Minny in recent history. I will have to see how good the GOAT hand-off specialist from Michigan is before I can make an accurate prediction on their future
Cows finally have to go to Detroit. I see a slight regression for the Lions. They got talent but like that one girl in the back of the school bus said about me in 1991... he alright but he ain't all that! Thats how I feel about the Lions
Cows get Chicago in Chicago. Chicago, like New Orleans, is a place I do not like to play

11-6

Maybe peaking at playoff time?!
Cowboys beat KC? Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

Let me get the elephant in the room out of the way. The Cowboys season depends on how well Dak plays. If he has another season like 2024, I don't see much improvement at all.

However. If they sign Osa and another capable DT, plus draft one to set up a solid DT rotation, and Kneeland steps up along with Sam Williams coming back from injury, then Diggs and Bland returning for form along with a re-signed Lewis, and they somehow solidify the LBs, the defense could be pretty good.

Then on offense, they need another RB other than Dowdle. Drafting someone with some speed and quickness would be a big plus. Then if Guyton hits the weights, gets stronger and comes back much improved, they figure out the C - RG situation and Steele plays like he did the end of last season, plus they get a legitimate WR2, they could challenge for a playoff spot again.

But that's asking a lot for 1 off-season.

And after all that, they have to avoid injuries again.

Cowboys have a rotten core. You would need multiple years of team building to see any success. And they will need a new QB for any chance at real playoff success.

The O-line is hot garbage. QB has mere nanoseconds to get rid of the ball before being swarmed. Rbs routinely run in a wall of flesh. No holes opened consistently.

The D line is putrid. Secondary is boom or bust. When no ints they are average at best. Secondary routinely giving up big chunk plays when pass rush is not elite. Safeties are bad.

Zero contain in the edges from the Defensive ends. D lineman routinely pushed into the laps of the linebackers. And the linebackers glued to blockers and unable to stop the run.

Worst RB room in the NFL. Only one premium WR. No dependable WR#2 or WR#3 who can consistently get separation. QB who bows down to any team with a pulse above .500.

Nepo head coach who is allowed to fail upward due to good ol' boy system will routinely get out coached by other HCs who have actual talent. Anyone who says this team is a few players away from glory either does not watch the games or is full of pure bull feces.

We attack FA with a force we've not seen in years, and we have an impressive draft, what record can you see the Cowboys having??? We have the core to make things happen, we just need other pieces to put this puzzle together!!!

What's an ideal record for the Cowboys if this were to pan out! (Please keep it positive, why complain all off season??!)

10-7

We got a top 3 finish in the East locked up!

What's wrong with the rest of you?

If we attack it, which is what the OP suggested, then we should be able to make a significant move. There are some strengths on this team. I really think the right choices in FA at DT, OL and one other spot with a strong draft could turn this team into a legit contender.
I really can't think of any "strengths" on this team. Not one.

Stephen was on the Fan several to rebuild. (he did not say rebuild that was inferred.). I don’t expect anything other than the normal off-season

Please give your thoughts!

Stephen was on the fan. He implied there would be one more draft to complete this rebuild. he did not say rebuild. He just said there would be one more draft. I’m not looking for any change this off-season if they have in their head they’re rebuilding. Why would they make your team stronger?

The Jones’s still in charge….. 8-9
43 years that I remember as a diehard Cowboys fan in Ohio, 40 minutes from Pittsburgh. The last 29 have taken their toll and I have no optimism left unfortunately. I’ll never jump ship and will always love the Cowboys but reality is until the Jones’s are gone the Cowboys will be average regardless of who the coaches or players are. We’re talking 25 + years and some of us will be watching from heaven, or hell

The absolute ceiling is a copy of the 2016 offense.
It's just Prescott doesn't have the mobility so stacked boxes will be the norm if early season run game success is achieved.

And then there is the case of daring Prescott to beat those stacked box defenses.
And to follow, the impossibility of this QB ever winning 4 straight playoff games regardless.

So with all that said, I'll say 8-9, no playoffs and Prescott doesn't play all 17 games.

And an 8-9 record is my positive.
One game better than last year.
Cowboys!
