With both guys out for extended periods,if not the season for Mo, can the secondary continue to lift the D? What does the zone think?

I'm worried. Mo was playing solid ball. That forces Carr and Brown into covering teams #1 guy more.

I think JJ will be ok for a few weeks. He is better suited to be closer in the box.

That's a tough hit.

Well, that should do it for Mo. Can't imagine resigning him now unless he's willing to stay on for near minimum. It's unfortunate cause he was playing so well.

We are definitely going to take a step back with the loss of those two. Both are vets with experience and have been playing well. Maybe Stephen or Jerry have something up their sleeves.

Mo is really the only guy we have who can match up with a #1 and hold his own. Not having that will hurt. Plus it forces lesser players like Heath and perhaps Frazier into the lineup at some point. Let's pray we catch a break and Big Ben is not at Heinz Field waiting for us in 2 weeks.

If Olayate is available, they bring him back. Not expecting a trade.

I was actually thinking the exact opposite. His injury opens up the door to bringing him back in a no risk deal.

Not saying it's going to happen but it's realistic to think he signs a similar deal as last offseason.

More worried about safety than corner. We were surviving without Scandrick, who was easily our best corner before he got hurt. Last night, Scandrick looked like he's all the way back, so he'll replace Mo and Brown will come on in the nickel like he was doing while Scandrick got hurt.

I am happier that Wilcox is playing better than he was in the preseason, but I don't know how I feel about him having to play full-time safety again.

That's basically what I was saying. You said it better.

Even if its a sports hernia and he has the surgery when would Mo be back. Thought I read or heard 6-8 weeks somewhere.

I think Mo being out (especially for the season) stings a little bit.

The only positive to spin out of this is like stated above, now he may come back on the cheap. I can't imagine another team offering him immense money with his injury history and he is already settled here in Dallas. Who knows though? Houston gave Osweiler $70 million so..................................

At corner we'll be fine.

Not sure if Scandrick or Brown will be moving outside, but they're interchangable.

Safety concerns me. Church made game changing plays in a couple of our wins and though he's not Earl Thomas, he plays sound, mistake free football.

Wilcox still plays like a chicken with it's head cut off at times. You saw the big hits, but you also saw the same poor angles he always takes.

How long are they out?
Church is 4-6 weeks with the broken forearm.

I anticipate Mo is out for the year. Sports hernia is 6-8 weeks, plus a few tacked on because he's Mo and our training staff seems to add a few weeks to the normal healing process. Even "just" a bad groin pull is most of the year, if at all, before he's really back.

Brown is not interchangeable with MO. This is a huge hit and has a cascading effect. Everyone's matchup suddenly got harder. And we lose oscan slot blitzes. As you might recall he had a huge sack last night .

Wilcox for Church is more concerning than Scandrick for Claiborne, mainly because I think Church has a good bit to do with alignments and communication.

This also means more Heath in subpackages.

I am hoping we look for fortifications the next couple days.

Our practice squad players do not impress me.
