For those who you who don't live in Texas and purchase Sunday Ticket primarily to watch Cowboys games, has it gotten to the point where we no longer need it? By my estimation, about 12 of this season's game will be televised nationally. I'm not complaining. I'm just wondering if Sunday Ticket is worth it for those of us who wouldn't even have it if it wasn't for the Cowboys.

To be honest, those 4 games or so that won't be on locally are worth the cost, but it just seems like DirecTV is getting over like a fat rat.

I was starting to think that myself last year. Then, I realized how much it would cost me to go to anyone of those games in person. I live in the D.C. area, and (of course) every bar is generally catered to 'Skins fans. To be able to watch the 'Boys from my own living room w' no distractions IN HIGH DEF is priceless to me.

I think living in NY, I missed 1 week that wasn't due to the game being on the NFL network. So, I would say no.

It's worth it because my pockets are fat and I enjoy watching all the games.

You poor people might want to consider saving your money though.

I have it, and it's not really necessary if you just want to watch the Cowboys. I love watching all the other games, though, so I'll pick it up nonetheless.

I enjoy watching the whole league, plus 90% of the games are in hd on the ticket. I live in Pittsburgh, so when the Steelers play opposite the Cowboys no other game is on FOX. i've had Sunday Ticket for 8 years and can't do without it.

Exactly, also, if you play fantasy football, it's a must.

For me, I typically see just about every game no matter what. That's just how it is in NM. We see all the pracitice, all the preseason, you name it. The only ones that you don't get, on regular TV are ESPN Games, which you see on a delayed feed anyway, and the NFL Channel games. Those games, you can head over to a sports bar and watch. Having said that, I still bought the NFL channel just because it's what I do when I'm not working or with the family, which is most of the time. It is way more expensive then it needs to be but for me, it's one of the few things I can enjoy at anytime. When I get a spare minute, I can just tune in and see what's up. Heck, I go to sleep with the NFL channel on and wake up with it on. That's usually when I can watch TV for just a bit.

It's too expensive and it needs to be made available to Cable but I still think it's worth it. That's just me thou.

I survived last year without Sunday Ticket.

Had it for the previous 5 years or so but moved and couldn't take it with me.

I think I saw every game so it would be unnecessary for me. I'd say check the broadcast maps and if you don't get the game, hit the bar. Thats what I did and I think I only went out twice.

Look at the schedule and who is broadcasting the games.

Then look at what teams in the NFC that regional coverage might affect.

It my case its the Rams, Lions and Bears. The Bears will always trump the Cowboys in Regional Coverage here in Indy but the Rams and Lions sometimes play over the boys. I have 10 games that i will for sure get with 3 that I definitely wont get ( Bears games at same time). I will have to probably SOPCAST 4 this year.

I had Sunday Ticket for four years but hate having to pay for both cable and DirecTV at the same time..

I don't see the need because around here I get all the Dallas and Commanders games... I save myself a lot of money each year.

Anyone have the capacity to research this? How many Cowboys games will people in the following markets miss:

Seattle:
Detroit:
Buffalo:

Thanks!

Wasn't there a website (sopcast?) where you could watch games online?

I seem to remember people talking about that.

Personally, I would have cancelled cable just so Beyonce could come over and Up-up-upgrade me.
