Wasn't there a website (sopcast?) where you could watch games online?

I seem to remember people talking about that.
Is Sopcast free and how is the picture quality?

I'm a ffl junkie and I cut direct tv loose several years ago. I get all of our games so I don't miss paying the extra $200 plus a year.

I live in Charlotte, NC and I saw every game last year except the St. Louis game and the Carolina game (went to that game) so I don't think it's necessary

Fortunately, for me, living where I do in Oklahoma it doesn't matter rather Dallas is good, bad, great, or horrible. I get all 16 games. :)

It is getting less and less worth it to see just the Cowboys, but I watch the other games too which helps.

For those 4 weeks or so when it is really needed it sure is nice.

To be honest, it really depends on where you live.

I live in Connecticut, and I know we have a couple others posting here from CT as well. Last year I missed two games, which I just went out to the bar to go watch, and the year before that I missed one game. And by missed, I mean that it wasn't on the local channels, and I'd have to go to a friend's house with Sunday Ticket/go to the bar. Last year it was the Dolphins and then the Packers NFL Network game, and the year before that it was the Raiders game.

Really, to think that I live in CT and I'm so far away from Texas, it's quite incredible the amount of games we get here on a year to year basis. Living in "enemy territory" surrounded by the NFC East teams doesn't hurt, obviously.

Anyone have the capacity to research this? How many Cowboys games will people in the following markets miss:

Seattle:
Detroit:
Buffalo:

Thanks!

You've also got to remember that games switch times on occasion. At this point, announcers aren't scheduled either, so the people looking for that won't find anything.

In CT, I get every Jets/Giants/Patriots game. But the way the NFL schedules it, one of those teams usually gets a primetime game to open up a space on Sundays... and that space 95% is for the Cowboys, for me. Best bet is to go through the schedule and compare the times of the games. For instance, if Seattle/Detroit/Buffalo have a game on Fox at 4 PM and so do the Cowboys, you obviously won't be getting it.

I live near Seattle, and I'd definitely miss two games just because the Seahawks are playing at the same time on the same network. And I count eight other games when I'd have to hope the local channel shows our game instead of some other game. Even when they announce that they're going to show our game, they sometimes don't. I'm definitely getting Sunday Ticket again. Besides, with it, I get to watch every other game I want, too.

For those who you who don't live in Texas and purchase Sunday Ticket primarily to watch Cowboys games, has it gotten to the point where we no longer need it? By my estimation, about 12 of this season's game will be televised nationally. I'm not complaining. I'm just wondering if Sunday Ticket is worth it for those of us who wouldn't even have it if it wasn't for the Cowboys.

To be honest, those 4 games or so that won't be on locally are worth the cost, but it just seems like DirecTV is getting over like a fat rat.

I live in Kentucky and saw all 16 Cowboys games last year with no Sunday ticket.

I bought Sunday ticket last year and also have the package that has all of the channels that Directv carries. Net result was ALL of the regular season Cowboys games were available here in Memphis on Directv without having to go to the Sunday ticket channels.

I bought Sunday Ticket just for the Cowboys games, but ended up watching a lot of other games as well. So, I'm going to get it again this season and never have to worry about missing a good non-Cowboys game, but I don't really need it to watch the Boys.

As it turns out, I just love having all of the games available. Now I just need to convert to HD before the season starts!!

Hey guys, I cancelled my Nfl Sunday Ticket this last season due to it being too much money, and I never missed the first game. I looked at all the nationally telecast games and looked at the ones that I would bet would wind up being shown, then decided I would only miss 4 games max. So, I called and cancelled. I wound up not missing a single game. However, I also got an exemption for getting a second network due to my location not picking up local stations a few years ago. The extra fox channel they gave me was the southwest feed. lol :laugh2: Way too funny for a diehard Dallas fan. The Lord looked down and smiled on me that day. I just should have cancelled right then. I haven't missed a game except when Sunday ticket gets cut off mid game or the network blacks me out. Not a lot to do about it when your at work and not home to switch channels. Though that's rare. I try not to work on game days. So, in my estimation, I think a good percentage of you guys could cancell and not miss more than a couple at most and maybe none if you get an exception like me. By the way, you guys don't know who I am or who told you this.;) Get it!!
