With Deware gone that makes DE a top priority

Barr would be my top (realistic) target.

If he's gone, I don't like the first round options at DE.

I just plain don't like Ealy. Haven't seen anything from him that I like. I must be watching the wrong videos or something.

Ford is a good player who I really like. But I think we won't like his size.

Crichton and Marcus Smith both offer pass rush abilities and I would love them in rd 2. However, I really can't see either of them filling in for Ware. I just don't see the ability.

Trade your draft for a guy who rocketed up draft boards based on a) one hit in a bowl game on a player that was 4'7", 95lbs, and b) ESPN's media campaign?

No thanks.

Lol might wanna read up a little on Clowney before you make posts like this. You can challenge his motor or mental make up all you want. But you are out of your mind if you don't think Clowney is incredibly talented. Kid has been the 2nd coming since pretty much high school. And you can't act like that 1 hit wasn't apart of his 13 sack, 23.5 tfl, and 3 FF season.

And as my previous posts indicate I'm in no way saying we should trade up for Clowney.

And there is not much in FA that is worth the money left. So now DE becomes a top need. Could seriously impact our draft now. Whoever we get is not likely to have the impact that Deware had on offenses.

It's always been a need just hope we don't reach on a player like Ealy. I would be fine with a trade back and get Crichton or a trade up from our 2nd for him. Or wait until the 2nd and 3rd to nab one or maybe two.

Martin, Murphy and Smith are guys we can get later. Also we can sign some DE bargain free agents.

I wonder if Miami still wants to trade Dion Jordan? Rumors were they put him on the trade block.

Would be great to get him to take Ware's spot. Would hate to give up the 1st rounder for him, but if you can get Melton signed and trade for Dion Jordan your D-Line is looking nice.

I'm concerned about Ford's size unless they are planning on going with a hybrid defense.

Crichton is my guy, hope they figure out a way to land him either with first rd trade down or second rd pick. Good athlete, relentless motor and solid instincts.

agree
no to ford
donald in rd 1 (preferably after trade down)
shazier or crichton or marcus smith in rd 2
donald thomas in rd 3
caraun reid in rd 4

The entire time Dallas ran a 3/4 Jerry never Drafted or acquired a true NT. Then he changes to a 4/3 with the best 3/4 OLB in the NFL....just pure GENUIS!

SOooo....how many more years until we get a legit DT...never?

Miami was talking about dumping him because he didn't fit in the 4-3. He's a 3-4 OLB. Not sure how he would fit here and certainly not as a replacement for Ware's DE spot.

Mack won't make it out of the top 10

Agreed. Barr and Ford may not last past top 15 either. Pass rushers are a premium. And Dallas should trade up, even if just a couple of picks. If Claiborne is still worth anything, they should package him with the 16 to move up.

At the very least, position themselves in front of the Bears to draft Donald.
