With Garrett and the coordinators likely back, let's talk FA

jerry will make a big move in free agency to keep the fans coming back and spending money he will also make a move in the draft to help excite the fan base whether it means more wins or not he could care less as long as his pockets are full and his team is on tv and they continue to keep a mic in his face he is happy

Why bother, they are not going to spend money on any big name FAs.

We will get the secret sauce and a war daddy in 2018............book it or my name isn't Jerry Jones..

The chess "board" is what's broke....repairing the chess pieces is the easier part to fix.....

We have a "GM" that thinks we can keep doing the same things wrong and we'll get different results........not likely to happen.

While it's possible they might sign a bigger free agent than in years previous they also have to pay DLaw and Martin. Cap space might shrink fast depending on their deals.

I doubt it.

It doesn't matter anyways if they take the same approach.

Even if we go 12-4 next year it won't be because of the coaching staff. It will be because of our players.

I give Garrett credit for his ability to keep players focused during adverse times but during the game he does zilch. Our coaches are playing checkers instead of chess.

LOL. No seriously.

Will we actually sign some quality FAs or will we play the game again where we link ourselves with some quality guys, low ball them, leak to the press that we were really interested and then sign three more Nolan Carrolls?

I'd like to see them sign a legit 1 Tech, a vet LB/S and maybe a #2 type WR or even a field stretching TE.

It doesn't matter who they sign. They will be corrupted by the underachievement culture, lack of accountability, and poor coaching/schemes. Sign the whole NFC pro bowl team and Garrett still couldn't win a playoff game.

Aren't we something like $5 mil over the cap? At least Romo's money is finally off. But we're going to owe Dez $8 mil in dead money if we release him.

Our big FA signings will be locking up Martin and Dlaw. The rest will all be depth signings. Yippee

This team is so far away from being anything close to a playoff caliber team, WR,TE,QB just to name a few key pieces that we are lacking. No QB next year and we are looking at 9-7 once again. Fed up with this crap.

I believe we’ll make a couple of reasonably big moves (at least for Dallas) in FA this year. One, because we’ve got the flexibility to do it and two, because it’s going to be necessary to inject some optimism. We’ve got plenty of spots where we can improve, especially on defense. ILB, S, DT, OT3, WR.

Yes, we will pay a few of our players we like and we will bargain shop just like the past years. Stephen believes in keeping the
players you develop and like and picking up pieces that you don't have to overpay for. That, my friends, is the secret sauce.

I actually think we’ll sign a bigger FA or two from another team than we normally do. But probably not a deal that’s so big it knocks people’s socks off.

Need to go get a FA QB that is out there, Kirk Cousins, crap even Sam Bradford at this point. If we go into next season with Dak as our QB, we better hope that everyone else is playing at a very high level, because that is the only way he can function.

And that's fine. Frankly, it's preferable.

Ignore the tip top of the barrel guys and hit that mid-level sweet spot. I mean even Poe and Logan didn't get big deals last year and those are two guys that would make our defense better. A guy like Eric Reid probably won't get a big contract and would be an ideal mid-level FA for us.

I fear they won't even do that. They'll just find us more Carroll's, Paea's, Moore's and Blanton's. But I am praying you are right.

I’m pulling it out of my butt. But they do have more room than they normally do, and one upside of not changing coaches is they’re possibly thinking the extra improvement could come from VFA.

And I agree that a 1-tech and a Safety is a good and practical place to start. Should be some value there, and some players to choose from. And we need impact players in both positions.

Anybody think SEA would consider a 2nd for the last year of Earl Thomas?

As sad as it is, even if we do sign a few reputable FA's with strong resumes of success. Under this regime, their more than likely to become average. This coaching staff wouldn't know what to do if it had that talent but sit there and clap.

we will dumpster dive and shop at the clearance counter in KMART.
And jerry and company will say that we spent the REAL money on our own and be proud of it

There are rumors he could be cut for cap issues............ but I have doubts Seattle would do that.

Who in their right mind would want to sign with this GONG show? I guess the scrubs would be willing to because it is Black Friday sale all the way through FA with this team.
