We also need some home runs in the draft. Not the nice base hits like a Byron Jones that is a solid player. We need big impact.


We will get no help at all from this coaching staff so the only way is for us to not dumpster dive in FA.

I want to paint picture for you. Jerry & his entire family are so wealthy they nor future kids need to worry about survival for next 100 years. In that situation there is no sense of urgency regardless of what may you read. Jerry understand human emotion enough to throw out token gestures every so often to appease fans. So when people say how can man continue to be a GM and have no success or how can HC keep his job for so long without getting out of 2nd round of playoffs...it all comes back to one word "wealth". We need to treat the cowboys differently as fan. Don't expect anything. Tune in to see if they assembled something worth watching. There are so many different things to get into now. I am huge fan of podcast. I honestly think NFL as we know it is going away in less than 10 years so now is good time to start finding alternatives.

It looks like the Cowboys have $21 million in cap space for 2018 before making any moves. If they make Dez a June 1st cut and cut Witten, that jumps up to $40.5 million in return for $4 million more in dead money (from Dez.)

2019+ and their cap space balloons up. $91m, $148m, $175m, etc.,etc.

Bottom line is they CAN be as active in free agency as they want. The question is if they will do it or not. But they are NOT in cap hell now; quite the opposite, really.

I believe we’ll make a couple of reasonably big moves (at least for Dallas) in FA this year. One, because we’ve got the flexibility to do it and two, because it’s going to be necessary to inject some optimism. We’ve got plenty of spots where we can improve, especially on defense. ILB, S, DT, OT3, WR.
