With our DC being a good communicator, should solve confusion on defense?

With Parker being a great communicator, how beneficial is this going to be to our defense who often looked confused out on the field? When you're out there guessing what to do, and not knowing your assignments, you play slower. I'm expecting to see our guys be more well prepared week to week when we play our games.

I'm not expecting them to go from the worst to best, but I know a lot of us feel that some improvement is better than no improvement! If he can get us to be respectable, create plays, know our assignments, and be consistent, the sky is the limit for this defense!

There will be improvement simply because it couldn't be any worse.

But we have no idea yet.. going to have to wait and see what Jerry does in FA. All very good getting coaches.. won't mean a lot if we don't get players.

Will he get some good players or will they just sign jags again.. we should get some idea when FA starts.

Sure will help the draft and make things clear if we wanted to make a trade. Have a good free agency period and go into the draft not having to reach but being open to get more players

What an awful draft. Let's review:

A not-too-bright running back who doesn't like authority.
An injury prone OT.
A penalty prone OG with two left feet.
A CB who can't cover man to man.
Jerruh's annual TE because Lord knows we need another one.

But, HEY! We may have two in the top 10 in next year's draft! YEAH!!!

Hopefully he instills some discipline also.

I think Jerry will make an effort to get him some FA”s if he can have that influence to get a few of his type of players. And in the draft as well.

The problem with Eberwuss was that he wasn't a good teacher and had a terrible staff. It didn't help that our GM never brought in any defensive talent except Micah.

Our entire defensive staff are experts in their own fields and will be able to teach our defense how to to play a modern, NFL defense.

It's way too early to speculate what any of it's going to look like on the field.
We've made a concentrated effort on trying to improve the coaching staff.

Now all these different personalities have to come together get on the same page
and be able to produce a watchable product.
Along with the new draft picks and free agents.

It may take a while for all this to come to fruition .
No matter how good a communicator he is it's hard to build a top 10 defense overnight from the worst and the league.

I'm going to be cautiously optimistic and just see how this whole thing develops

Our entire defensive staff are experts in their own fields and will be able to teach our defense how to to play a modern, NFL defense.

Because they got Kenny Clark in the trade, and after they got Qunnin Williams, and till have one of the 1st round draft picks. Was able to dump Mazi in the deal. They dumped Diggs. Improvement by that as well.
They brought in Logan Wilson as well. I know some think he did not play well. But then again what player played all that great under Eberflus.

You already know what’s going to happen in FA…nothing…there is no wait and see. Cannot believe it’s even talked about anymore…waste of time.

Good communicators, Scheme, and teachers. I think the players will relate to these younger coaches being brought in.

We have a good core group of players and if they can add some average to above average starters the defense could be very good.

Safety Hooker could be better under the new system the entire secondary was bad last year hence the Parker hire.

No. The new DC might be an awesome teacher and communicator but you still need better players. He alone won't fix it.
