I'm just not sold on him over the other guys at the TE position.

Sorry but I would want a Pass rusher maybe two out of this draft. Can't count on Gregory at all. I think Swain has good chemistry with Dak also.

Massive waste. We've proven over the last decade and 3 2nd round picks at the at the TE postition that we have no clue how to evaluate TE's, coach them up (see Garrett's brother getting fired) , and involve any TE not named Witten in the passing game.

I would be very upset.....I would probably spew quite a few expletives.....

I want DE DeMarcus Walker if we are picking in the 30s.

My reaction is I hope he finds a nice spot on the bench because he will be sitting there for a long time while Witten still plays for 3 years.

Im firmly in the DE camp as well. However I think if they really target the position, they will wind up trading up ( not that I would be against that). In the 30's I think its very doubtful a DE they have a first round grade on will be there

Based on how they have been drafting of late, they firmly go by their board. If there is a player they have a 1st round grade on at another position left in the 30's they will likely take them. In this draft that could very easily be a TE.

Trading up is a very strong possibility. They really wanted a DE at 34 last year and allegedly tried to move up for one and got burned. I think that may make them aggresive in manurvering the draft to get a pass rusher. In a strong DE draft, if they can get into the late teens the could probably get a prospect as valued as Floyd was last year. However I think if they wait till their original pick they may miss out. Rushers are so valuable, you have to anticipate a run at that point in the draft.

Another possibility is a 2013ish scenario where we are sitting in the 30's and no one we graded as a first rounder is left. In that scenario I could see us taking a guy we have a lower grade on because we dont want to trade down and lose the 5th year option ala Frederick

I would have to see who else is available, but if there's not a DE worth the pick, I would have no problem with it. The offense he's in, he's had plenty of time to develop as a blocker and is an extremely athletic receiver. He reminded me a lot of Jordan Reed when given the opportunities. Of course in a Lane Kiffin offense, you typically see them focus on one weapon and game planning around them so he's not been utilized as he should be.

My reaction would be to start a passionate anti-Jason Witten movement. Smell ya later, hero.

My reaction is that a TE or Safety could easily happen there since according to Matt Miller it is an exceptionally strong year for both positions. My gut tells me they force a pass rusher there, or maybe a highly ranked corner falls. Dont forget the cost of a rookie contract for a premium position.
