Wide Receiver or TE.........Let be clear in my 100% support for Dez since the day he was drafted and that's never wavered until now. IMO he's at a crossroad. Battling injuries the last couple years and now in the last year of guaranteed money on his contract. For whatever reason, he just hasn't dominated the position like his mentor Michael Irvin despite almost identical physicalities. Either way, I'm guessing the Cowboys will address this during the offseason by either extending Dez or drafting his potential replacement.

As for TE......simply put, we have got to get more production from this position. Jason's starting to remind me of Emmitt Smith last couple years that were clearly more sentimental than productive. God knows he's the ultimate leader and man of men but as much as I hate to say it, he close to being progress stopper.

Dez Bryant signed a 5 year, $70,000,000 contract with the Dallas Cowboys, including a $20,000,00 signing bonus, $45,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $14,000,000. In 2017, Bryant will earn a base salary of $13,000,000, while carrying a cap hit of $17,000,000 and a dead cap value of $25,000,000.

We need a speed WR....I was thinking this this morning. I am on the wagon to. get a WR in the 1st.

Actually we need new coaches as well.

We have to address the WR position this off-season, Dez just isn't a #1, and it's killing Dak. For the record, I wanted a WR in last years draft.

Dak isn't accurate enough to take advantage of Dez' strengths. His throws are all over the place.
Dez' "strengths" don't scare opposing coordinators, we need a guy that will keep people up at night.

Would love to add a playmaker in the secondary. SS would be my pick...Heath and Jones aren't going to cut it...Byron still has time to turn it around...perhaps if they moved him to corner, he'd have more success...he's definitely athletic enough to play the position.

Tight end I agree.

what am I missing in regards to dez that everyone's seeing? He's leading the league in passes defensed. That's on the qb. He's still a game changer. He was never Marvin Harrison with consistency

With the way the coaches utilize the "talent" at the skill positions, I don't think it will make much of a difference whether we draft a WR or TE or not.

It's a stagnant, boring, methodical, predictable offense. No creativity, whatsoever. If the base set of 5-10 plays don't work, and if we can't beat the man in front of us, we suck. No infusion of talent will change the system.

WR and tight end definitely needs to be addressed.

They would of Romo was still throwing those back shoulder and high point balls to him.

He's as good as it gets at making those catches.
Again, that doesn't scare anyone. He's not a threat to take it to the house on any given play. We need someone who's a "game-breaker". In the Redzone, sure, he adds value to the offense, but that's a handful of plays a game.

It depends on who is on the board, of course.

This year makes a ton of sense to go WR in the first. You draft a guy now he has two years before Dez's comtract is up, and you have 3 more years of contract control after that to determine if he is worth a 2nd contract.

TE is a real possibility as well. Especially if Gathers concussion is as bad as it sounds.

On the defensive side of the ball, I can see another DT to go with Collins. Interior rush is crucial to this scheme.

Dont discount another DE. DE shouldn't be a need, but they are prized assets and if the value is there that could easily be the pick

Meanwhile the defense will stop no one.

That flashy WR you drafted will run predictable routes in this offense.

Another year of underachievement. Dilly dilly!

WR and TE are not needs at all...... Dez, TWill, Beas, Butler, NBrown, Switzer, Witten, Gathers, Swaim, Hanna

We need a SS and another DT a lot more

Then OG, RB2, QB2

There are needs on defense at every level.

DT - We need a real 1 tech. Not trash pile heap type of guys.
DE - Well, if there is a pure pass rusher/edge guy there. No need to take another SDE like a Charlton again.
LB - Lee is getting up there, Smith has a lot to learn
S - Woods might end up being good, so at least one S to go with him. Jones is a CB. That's just the reality at this point.

I think we are fine, at least for now, at CB.
