If you've been paying attention to any celebrity sexual assault story the last few years, you'd be able to see how much the stories get exaggerated.

I'm not trying to slight the women in these cases at all, because I do feel real bad for them and they shouldn't be taken advantage of like that, but at the same time it's not fair to stretch the story out like that and tell blantant lies. It's like touching a girl's leg turns into rape somehow.

And even with non celebrities I've watched it happen to good people, that make one mistake and then they'll get sued for some stupid story that gets fabricated.

This has happened twice to this scumbag! Where are all the stores about girls claiming other QB's in the NFL have sexually assualted them?

Once? Maybe...twice, makes it a pattern of sorts. Or, do girls out there just follow Ben around to claim he raped/sexually assualted them because Ben is just a big teddy bear that will easily give them cash?

The whole locking him in a bathroom and preventing the friends access is equally troubling.

I mean . . . you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know something bad happened.

I'm sorry 187 . . . but Ben doesn't get the benefit of the doubt.

Because of other infractions over a course of time.

Thanks dooms, didn't Rapersberger have "other" incidents? He wasn't ever charged either! I actually don't understand why the difference.

Thanks in advance!

Also, he and his entourage bought underage kids alcohol, isn't that chargeable? Dragging someone against their will into a room, isn't that some kind of imprisonment (can't remember the legal term)? There seems to be a lot there, missing evidence, etc. Yet nothing at all?

I see why the DA was pissed!!!!

ESPN's Adam Shefter reported that the max suspension is 4 games (according to the CBA).

How did Pacman get suspended for a season if that's the rule. Someone learned me please.

4 games is the max a team can impose. I believe

I think it's unfortunate that he's not going to have his day in court - for better or for worse. The way things have played out it certainly looks like he's guilty as hell, but you never know.

Guys like this always get theirs, eventually. I just wonder how many more people have to get hurt before he's removed from the equation.

Okay, I admit I am not over this. I may never be over it.

Michael Irvin was caught in a hotel room with two women and a bag of cocaine.

He never flunked a drug test. Yet the league gave him an unprecedented five game suspension for the offense of pleading no contest to the charges.

Ben Rapesmysister has had two incidents with women where it is called into question whether the female was agreeing to the sexual congress and the most he will receive is four games?

If this were a Dallas Cowboy he would be lucky to play in the first half of 2010 if at all.

I do not condone the drug use of Irvin.

But if his offense was worth five games - and this in light of Favre admitting his drug dependence and bumming dope from teammates that went totally unpunished by the league - then Ben Rapesmysister needs to sit out at least a half season or more.

I'm still not over it.

Pacman already had been suspended when he was in Tenn he was reinstated then gets into trouble again that is why the punishment was tougher. I think Ben should be suspended for his action if he actually committed rape then he needs to be in prison.

I'm debating that at all. Ben has definitely engaged in sexual activity with this girl, and maybe more (though previous cases have been debunked somewhat).

However, I don't believe stories that are over the top at first glance. I'm having a very hard time believing that his bodyguards dragged her in, and she had NO idea what was going on, as if Ben had slipped her a roofie or something.

Thanks for clearing that up. So, if Big Raper had been suspended for the previous incidents, then the league could implement a longer suspension?

That seems...suspect and sad.

Irvin plead no contest and was then given punishment by the court, he actually broke the law Ben has been accused. When Irvin was accused of rape later on the league did not suspended him. This notion that the Cowboys get punished and no one else does is non sense.

I'm not happy about it either. That suspension destroyed our season. What Irvin did isn't nearly as bad as what Roethlisberger did. He better be glad he isn't a Cowboy because the spotlight would be 10 times stronger and he would be facing a lot more games than 4.

I am not defending Ben whatsoever, nor that he raped her, but I need to hear more on this before I can pass judgement. It's not a matter of giving Ben the benefit of the doubt, it's that stories like these have happened to many celebrities and athletes, and the truth more often than not isn't as terrible as the stories go.

I highly doubt the max suspension from the league on a "1st offender" is 4 games. But I don't known for certain. It could be I guess. Just sounds dumb.

These "stories" are coming from depositions released by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Five hundred pages of testimony!

He was not charged with anything. I can accuse you of anything but there has to be some prove. Because this has now happened again and even if the law does not find Ben guilty of anything the league by their own personal conduct rules can suspend a player. I fully expect Ben to face a suspension

I don't even care about the suspension. This goes way beyond football.

The only justice would be if this girl's uncle were in the mafia.

Irvin was busted with drugs and arrested and sentenced by a court of law. Ben has been accused nothing more. When Irvin was accused of rape even though he had already been in trouble with the law and the league they did not suspend him because he was accused of rape.
