I think that motorcycle accident ****ed him up even more than anyone thought at the time.

I have a friend that went to school at Miami of Ohio at the same time as Roethlisberger. He says he was just as much of an *** back then and his reputation there was the same we're hearing now. The motorcyle accident didn't screw him up, he's always been this way.

I don't even care about the suspension. This goes way beyond football.

The only justice would be if this girl's uncle were in the mafia.

I agree it is about the law not football or personal like or dislike of a player. If Ben did it then he needs to be punished as in jail time forget football.

However if he did not do it and is being falsely accused as has happended to others should he pay the price?

I highly doubt the max suspension from the league on a "1st offender" is 4 games. But I don't known for certain. It could be I guess. Just sounds dumb.

The highest a team can give is 4 games.

The league can give out any length of suspension they want under the personal conduct policy. Just like Pacman and Vick being suspended for a year.

Yeah, 500 pages of "stories"!

:laugh2:

My point seems to be going way over everyone's heads, sorry.

When do we get the part that says her being "dragged" in by his bodyguards was true?

These "stories" are coming from depositions released by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Five hundred pages of testimony!

Are they depositions or affidavits? Both are more than "stories" and should have some credence. Rape is a very hard crime to prove. It is too bad that the DA doesn't think he has enough to pursue this case at this time. I wonder if that will change.

If true and it is still a question if it is true, but I will assume it is at this time. If true Ben should not be the only one here that should be punished. These body guards should also get in trouble, too. What kind of chump lets another person rape someone while they protect them. That is ridiculous and certainly outside the job description of a body guard.

Irvin plead no contest and was then given punishment by the court, he actually broke the law Ben has been accused. When Irvin was accused of rape later on the league did not suspended him. This notion that the Cowboys get punished and no one else does is non sense.

I guess the part where Irvin failed no drug test and was given a suspension longer than anyone ever and Favre admitted to taking prescription drugs, getting them from his teammates, which is a felony, and he was not even given a parking ticket passed your keen eye.

I understand the ramifications of the court trial and no contest.

I also saw the league set him down and ignored the admission from Favre about conduct of his teammates that would put you or me in jail.

I have a prescription for drugs and give them to you, we both have committed a crime.

Where was the league investigation?
Where was Wisconsin's investigation?
DEA?

Irvin got what he deserved.

Did Favre get anything but the league holding his hand and telling him its okay?

Yeh, that's what I said and thought. Just needed confirmation. Thanks.

It makes no difference if the bodyguards dragged her in or not. The moron should not be accused of anything of that nature, regardless!

Oh, and don't be naive about a payed body guard by a rich celebrety. Especailly one that has won a SB for your city. Some bodyguards and cops are just as ruthless as a criminal, they just have a badge to hide behind...so?

Please if you want to think the league has it in for the biggest money making team in the NFL then that is your own paranoid delusions.

Every case in the league stand on it's own merit and circumstances that are involved. What did Tagliabu have it in for Dallas and now Goodell?

As a LEO the actions of his "friends" is what disgusts me the most. those officers that Ben were associating with that nite are sleezeballs. And I cringe for saftey of the folks they are sworn to protect. I pray they get what's coming in this life or the next.

Is it naive to believe that Ben's "team" of lawyers went to GA and got rid of the security tapes, threatened the accuser and witnesses in various ways (dragging her name in the mud, counter-suites, etc)?

That's not possible? Who's being naive?

Makes me laugh how many fans feel this way about their team, and not just Cowboys fans.

Favre got off light. I agree with that.

Do you know for sure that Irvin did not fail a drug test? He could have failed one earlier in his career before the big coke night episode. Often times the first failed drug test is not made known to the public since it does not result in an automatic suspension. I think it is typically the 3rd failed test that results in a suspension, which is 4 games. They don't always have to fail a urine test to be considered an offense of the drug program. Getting busted for coke or any drug can count as a failed test depending on the circumstances.

I just do not get the idea that the NFL hates the Cowboys and are looking to punish our guys more than anyone else.

Did the NFL even have a official drug policy before 1993?

Where did the tape go?

Did David Blaine make them disappear?
