This isn't a knee jerk reaction by the way.:
Newly re-signed multimillionaire golden boy tight end Jason Witten has sucked all year. Forget the game changing wrong route he ran yesterday that caused an interception at the most crucial point in the game. Golden Boy has how many false starts, holding and other penalties? And how many drops? He might be the most OVERRATED player in the NFL.

Now the play calling. TO does have a very legit reason to yell at coaches on the sidelines. How many 3rd and one situations did they try and run the ball and not only got stopped short but lost yardage? Forget the crap about being "scared" about that bad boy pass rush
If you're that scared of an opponent you should forfeit the game and automatically take the loss.

I will cut Witten some slack as his old lady just gave birth. All of us with tots know that you pretty much go through the motions at work at first as you get no sleep.

He should have impregnated her at a better time of the year so that she would give birth in the off season.

I defended Witten last week but he really needs to get going. he has been a non-factor so far this year

LOL, it was a bullet at least 5 or more feet to his left. It was completely beyond his reach. he probably didnt even think it was thrown to him.

A little harsh aren't you?

First, Witten ran that last route into double coverage - it appeared that the route "may" have been broken off because he found that Sheppard was planted right where his break was going to take him. I can't say that with any certainty, but that appeared to be a possibility.

Second, Witten has been deemphasized this season - that is not his fault.

Third, Witten doesn't seem to be playing as well this season, but you are going way overboard with your reaction. It's not as if 4 games erases all the positive play over the last few years.

Contrary to what you said, your reaction is totally "knee-jerk".

Witten actually broke a tackle in the open field and got a first down on a play. I remember when many would criticize him for never making anyone miss or going down as soon as he was touched.

Yeah. It's a shame that he was expecting the ball to be thrown to him instead of the defender. Who would have thought?

Oh, most definitely. I just wasn't one the posters that complained about that part of Witten's game. I kept that part to myself.

witten is looking more and more like a one year wonder.

i'd love to eat my words

he's not a game breaker which puts him in the "we paid too much for him" category. but then again we're paying TO $10m to be a decoy

our QB is too stupid and slow to find him anyways.... but jason is less than a blip on our problem meter

Only BP just stated Witten ran the right route.

Don't let facts get in the way of this HIGHLY interesting debate.

A one-year wonder? He's a two-time Pro Bowl tight end, and justifiably so.

For the money hes getting he should be able to stop, change directions and leap 5 feet to his left. I mean come on how hard is that.
