Did you miss the 2014 Detroit WC game?

The Cowboys have one so few playoff games the past couple of decades I forgot about that one. Still not near enough to get him in the ROH. You say he will and I said he won’t. We’ll just leave it at that and see what happens.

He definitely wasn't a winner. He was content with being a company man and going home. He was part of the problem.

He would allow his emotions to get the better of him and became a distraction. He would use passion as an excuse for his anger outbursts.

The Jones family will throw him another big retirement celebration. Maybe even a parade this time

By the way he was our fourth leading receiver in that game with only three catches for 48 yards. He’ll be best remembered for the catch that didn’t count a week later in Green Bay. He only caught three for 38 yards in that game.

Like Witten is signing a 1 day contract to officially retire as a Cowboy.
Liked that he played virtually his entire lengthy career with Cowboys, because if it was the Jets, he'd have seriously less chance of a chance to make the Hall of Fame.
Thanks for the service performances, leadership and professionalism and the years to remember.

A long career TE that was durable as they come... tough as they come, ..and perfected the shake -hip and shoulder-juke pass route moves to constantly get opened time after time.
Thanks for the memories GOAT. ..

Letting it go is harder than many think. I've been retired from coaching for 4 years and I still get the itch when I see the opportunities every winter. I'd probably go back in a heartbeat if the right situation came up.

Are we talking about Dez or Witten? Dez is borderline ROH. Witten is first ballot HOF and every other honor. He’s the 2nd best TE ever to play behind Gonzalez

We’re talking about Dez. No question Witten will be in the ROH and the HOF.

congrats hope he has a pleasant retirement, he was a stand up player on and off the field and one of the best to wear the star..

he had every right to choose to play as long as he wanted and someone wanted him..some around here trying to tell a grown man he should quit and give it up is ignorance.

JW didnt come to your twitter sand tell you to quit your loser job...

A HOF Cowboys player with 17 years in the league with no ring? I blame no one but JJ on this. I can't recall too many HOF caliber Cowboys players who don't have a ring. If I'm JW I'll despise JJ for wasting my career.
