Witten makes a couple of mistakes a season at best. He busts his tail, he goes all out. He plays hurt. He puts up huge numbers.

He is one player who should get absolutely no criticism.

What if he is the snitch- like the media says?

This crap is utter b/s. "A snitch"...A snitch about what?

How about this, why dont we out 53 guys out there that care about winning instead of a having a handful of guys who dont care about anything but themselves.

Let's not annoint the guy for sainthood.

He's a great player and I love having him on the team, but he has definitely made more than two mistakes this past season. While he may not warrant as much criticism as others, he deserves his fair share, as well.

If I had said this my flame retardant suit would be working overtime right now. I'm going to go out on a little branch and guess you won't meet the same fate. :D

The difference is I don't take an extreme position and then feel the need to defend it in every thread. I say my piece and move on.

I definitely think Witten deserves the least amount of criticism, but he should get some. No one on this team is absolved after this stinker of a season.

I would stand up and applaud him.

Witten is a leader on this team. He is a guy who if, owens is out of line, and when you call out your quarterback in september on a 3-1 team you are most certainly out of line, can say something.

and if they cant say something behind the scenes that gets through to him because the owner and head coach baby him, then witten and or romo should say something to him.

Its my opinion, that the minute he brought up the qb in public for no reason after the washington game the other 51 guys should have given him hell.

THe QB is off limits. Owens is a wr. There is a structure, he needs to fall in line.

Except that is one of his major flaws, his need to always challenge authority and make sure they know who is in charge of 81.

Laufenberg put it perfect. He burns down your house, then he calls the fire department and then he says thank god you guys came. Perfect.

I hope someday witten and romo let owens have it, but I know they wont because they dont do interviews with an agenda with deion sanders....at a high level....

Oh. So I should just sit back and watch as the hatred of player # 53 continues on a daily basis? Sorry. I've tried. Can't do it.

Not suggesting you should do anything. I was saying what I do.

I'm not into defending players over and over. I might make a point in a thread, but rarely do I go on and on about it.

Ultimately, I'm about the team. And if you think that puts me on the T.O. hit list. It doesn't. It means Jerry & Co. need to release a statement and put the matter to rest. Other than that, I don't care.

I'm about the team first too.

I don't see Jerry releasing a statement anytime soon. He enjoys seeing the media squirm and, of course, embraces the publicity.

It means Jerry & Co. need to release a statement and put the matter to rest.jerry jones needs to call all of the players and coaches in next week, and put all of this to rest. Put all of the unnamed sources to rest too.

Seriously. I am. That has always been my stance.

As I have stated before, if a good coach came in and wanted TO gone then I would thank TO for his contributions and look forward to moving on with a better, more structured, team in mind.

I want Shanahan but will keep dreaming...

i dont know, with what jerry jones said about the unnamed sources and if he could find out whom they are, their name is mud

now at same time, when newman blabbed, romo put garrett under the bus, and so did some other players like bradie james, then yes, jerry jones should have the players keep silent like the coaches, but he hasnt

so does make you wonder

I think they need to be put in a better situation to succeed as far as coaching is concerned.

Not leading the league in penalties on offense is a great start.

I hope you're not implying that those two have correlation between each other.
