Witten.

he didnt drop any balls today..what are you talking about?

It's not a drops issue. I do think he's been pretty effectively defended the first two games. The plan of attack on the Cowboys seems to be take away the big play and take away Witten. If you do those two things, we can move the ball a little, but we're not disciplined enough to score points.

So has Austin.

Romo is what's going on with Witt and Smiles. This is going to be a long season. We are 2 games in the hole with no room for error.:banghead:

Yeah, Romo is causing Miles to struggle.

Guess we have different ideas of what a drop is.

Ball hit him right in the shoulder.

Austin's dropped balls were all on him. The Witten one was Romo though.

Yup.

And Witten hasn't exactly been open much this season so far. Obviously, defenses are doing something to take him out of the equation.

The Romo to Witten connection is lacking and it has hurt the team so far. The scary thing is that with a concussion, we probably have to hold Witten out next week. Isn't that a rule or something? In any event, Romo hasn't had his security blanket. When Witten makes a play in a particular drive, it gives me so much hope. But the Cowboys haven't been able to sustain anything.

what i am noticing with Witten is that each year he seems to lose little more agility. When he was a rookie...he looked much more athletic...he plays boxy now...meaning...it has to be right at his numbers....he doesnt stretch like he used too....maybe he has added weight or maybe its all those 80 catch seasons....dont get me wrong...still a good player...but it has to be thrown perfectly to him for him to make a play now.

I think Witten's in his last few years. He's taken too much of a beating to play at the level he used to.

No, Matt Moore had a concussion last week and played today.

He has to pass a concussion test before he's allowed to practice or play.

I think you're thinking of the rule that if there is an injured or hit to the head and the player shows symptoms, the have to sit out of the game at least seven minutes.

Gawd I hope not, that would make me very sad.

Waht I don't understand is this trying to catch/stop the ball with one hand crap he has been doing. I haven't seen him stretch out his arms to make a play in a LONG TIME. Even when a defender hits him the first time it's like his legs are made of glass and he falls down easily.

I hope noone is saying that Witten has been playing better than Miles. Say it aint so.

I don't think Witten was taken out of the equation by the defense today. He went out early in the 4th after catching 5 for 51, with a couple of incompletions that hit him in the hands.

It's not saying much since I've been worried that Witten has been in decline but I thought Witten had one of his best games in recent memory.

And if you have a concussion aren't you supposed to be woozy and not argue with someone???
