I actually love Cancun.

omg why?!?! It's over run with tourist. I mean far more than most places. If you go, you also have to stay at a very upscale hotel otherwise you are also overrun with obnoxious drunk kids. (forget leaving the hotel) The hotels are so "right on top of each other" that the skyscraper hotel next to you will blockout the sun. If you go into the downtown area, (even if you ignore the drunks) it's freaking filthy. We went to the Hard Rock while there. The tables were sticky, the silverware had dried food on them. It was gross. We walked out without ordering.

If I want to go to a beach resort area. It damn sure won't be Cancun. :laugh2:

I enjoyed my stay in Cancun. I did make sure spring break was over before I went. It was just me and a buddy of mine and we had a blast. We used 2 days to get a charter fishing boat and went big game fishing. On shore we managed to find things to do like snorkeling and such without getting involved with crowds.

There was also a similar story a few weeks ago where a female journalist was disembowled and hung from a bridge.
There was also 2 cartel members beheaded by a rival cartel one by chainsaw and the other with a knife.
Theres a website that posted pics and vids of said incidents{no im not posting a link}and was a lil bit more then i could stomach to see.
As someone earlier posted the only probable way to rid us of the human filth is probably using the military.

Cancun sucks. :laugh2: I freaking hate that place.

Now, Playa del Carmen is nice. Some of the nicest beaches on the planet. I like Cozumel, but that is because I love diving and snorkeling. They don't have any really nice hotels though.

You are just mad that Romo and Witten didn't invite you to go with them :laugh1:

You're going at the wrong time of year. I like it because of the fishing charters, food, and dancing. Plus the beaches are gorgeous and the scenery is too.
