Woman runs from attacker, leaves child behind.

I'l agree to disagree.

My son is the most important thing in my life, i'd rather get stabbed than lose him. Easy decision to make, if something happened to him i'd blame myself the rest of my life.

Not every parent is a good, loving parent. Some think of themselves before their kid...and sorry, but that's not a good excuse, even if she was scared.

It's her job to protect her kid. Scared or not. So i'll agree to disagree.

Agree with this 100%.

I can't fathom leaving CCF Jr behind but until I am in that situation, I really cannot judge.

Using that logic, we can't judge any football players either because we''re not in that situation.

Some situations, you just know...you wouldn't run and leave your kid behind. Sorry, but it's the LAST thing i'd do in that situation. I'd give my wallet, tell him to take what he wants, and i'd keep my son safe.

It can also work in the other way too. Those who don't think they may have the courage when something happens can wind up being the very ones who do.

None of you guys know how much money was in that purse!

yeah it is easy for us to talk when we aren't in the situation

for all we know, those who are condemning could pull a George Costanza the second they were in fear

Oh, I have little doubt that you'd cut and run...

Sorry, but that doesn't make this any better...It's almost like you're defending a girl who let her daughter there to get kidnapped or killed by a mugger.

That's what CCF does, adopt the most contrarian position possible... if somebody does something that is absolutely indefensible, you can count on him to try defending it anyway...

:laugh2:

She told police she was scared for her and her daughter so she ran down Belmont Avenue with her purse so the robber would chase her, and not harm her daughter.
I don't know her so I'm going to believe her intent, however that is a bad decision. I know one has to make a quick decision but never ever leave your kid behind with an attacker. He could have easily been a robber/pedophile and snatched that little girl and take off then it would be hell of lot worse than it it might have been.

not to doubt all the parenting prowess here but it is all talk until someone puts a knife to your throat

As a general rule, I just shoot them.

which usually ends up being the right position and which isn't based on raw emotion like you who just grunts, snorts and says, he bad.
