We all do the same thing Every year. And the same thing happens most years we crush some teams. Then lose a game against a weak team. Then we crush another team. Aannnddd then we lose badly against a good team we think is a measuring stick.

Now we will go on a streak and beat some good teams. And drop a few along the season and make the playoffs. We will get happy again and say now we are in playoffs it’s a new season. Then comes the playoffs. One and done or win the first one and think it’s Super Bowl time and drop the next one.

We are in stage 2 now.

When your "star" players do not care it makes it hard for fans to care. If you care about what kind of luggage Diggs will bring on the trip or if you care about what gold chains he will wear to the game then it makes sense to be a fan. If you care about winning prepare for the pain train.

Here’s the difference between SF GM John Lynch and our GM:

• John Lynch builds a roster and coaching staff to win a championship.
• Jerry builds a roster and staff to be “relevant”. Sure he would like to win a SB but that isn’t the top goal.
• Lynch works 12 months a year.
• Our GM works but today it may be on the next concert or tractor pull at the “stayjum”.
• If after a few years, Lynch is unable to deliver a championship he will be replaced.
• If the Cowboys lose every game the rest of this season and next, a person named Jones will still be the GM.
