I will say this as a longtime fan:

I kind of expected a loss Sunday night. But I was thinking something along the lines of 31-20 or something like that.

A complete no-show in all three phases of the game was something I did not expect. The Cowboys are a mentally weak football team. They are the classic bullies: give them a weaker opponent and they will rough them up and laugh all the way home (Giants, Jets, etc). But once a team comes along that punches them in the mouth first, they fold like a napkin.

I will never fall for it again. I will not believe in this team under the ownership of Jerry Jones, or his family ever again. I will not drink the Kool-Aid. I will not eat the cheese. As long as Jerry Jones puts a football team together, I will wait-and-see. I’m done. 60 years a fan!
Oh, c'mon.
If the cowboys win against the bolts, you'll be proclaiming "Super Bowl!" Again.

A sadly accurate assessment. Somewhat reflective of the Jones boys “leadership”.

I never listen to Jerry anymore. Everything he says I ignore. It is meaningless chatter. I had high hopes for the season because of the roster they put together. The Cowboys are better than what they showed against Arizona and SF.

Of course, the injury to Diggs is bigger than than we think. People forget how he took Jefferson out of the game when Dallas played Minnesota, and McLaurin when they played the Commanders. He has made his fair share of mistakes, but he is much better than anyone else they have. With Diggs, the Cowboys could help Gilmore is they had too. Now, Gilmore is being exposed and that is a big problem.

I also thought the addition of Brandin Cooks would help but he has been invisible so far. They way they have used him so mismatched for what he is. And when they did use him to go deep, Dak can't get him the football.

I never thought their defense was for real. I admit they almost had me fooled against the Giants but even then, we saw the Giants march down the field on their firsts drive only to cough up the football. The defense is good if they get pressure and create mistakes. If they don't they struggle to stop other teams from moving the football because the pass defense is suspect, especially without Diggs.

The biggest disappointment for me Sunday night was the Cowboys offensive line. With all 5 starters back in the lineup for the first time, I expected to see better pass protection and more holes for the running game. I saw neither.

I sincerely hope this blows up in Jerry's face. I will never get excited about following this team again until he's gone and his son is gone. Right now I'm rooting for losses.

Lol, so you think it some kind of curse that makes you give up after 5 games when they have a better record than almost half of the teams in the league?
Or maybe we've seen the body of evidence over 25 years and it's been verified YET AGAIN that this team crumbles under pressure. We've been battered by a physical 49ers for the prior 2 years, and it happened AGAIN this year.

I am here too. This was the last year form me, and I have been a fan for about 35 years. The obvious solution is to have the Jones family step down from management and hire professional football guys to do it. With our talent, I think it's just a 1-2 year turnaround getting all levels of management and coaching on the SAME PAGE at the same time.

But it will never happen because the family has a money making machine they don't want to disturb, and that is ultimately more important to them. Hard to fault them as long as fans keep coming back for more despite the lack of success. I eluded to this in a post before the season and was called out for it, but I think the points stands and is more obvious now for anyone watching with a critical eye.

We need to take a page from the old Saints playbook and get people to show up to games wearing paper bags. That would be beautiful and at least it would be embarrassing to Jerry as all he cares about is his ego.

I quit taking the cheese years ago. I still watch and root for them but I don’t invest any time worrying about it. I was actually laughing at the game Sunday night. I picked SF to beat us in a close game but never expected it to get this bad this fast. All you can do is laugh and not really care what happens.

You forgot "I will never buy any Cowboys merchandise as long as it's going to Jerry's pocket". That helps speed up the removal of him.

But good for you and may more and more Cowboys fans come to this realization.

I feel good about having double digit wins 3 years in a row.
How did you feel after the inevitable loss in the playoffs. Good? Man those double digit wins felt great. I feel bad that you once again will have your hollow victory of wins and I will feel s hitty after the 9ers kick our a rses in the playoffs again. Inevitable

I wish Magic Johnson and his business partners would have purchased this team. Magic is smarter than the whole Jones family put together.

If you’ve been falling for the team this long you’ll end up falling again. Some fans just can’t help themselves. Lol You need to learn to allow the season to play out at least until December before you fall for the team. The quickest way to get burned by the Cowboys is falling for the team during the first half of the season. Everyone should’ve realized after the two TD loss to Arizona this team was a fraud.
